The Women’s Committee of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition
issued a statement on “International Women’s Day,” which reads as
follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
March 8th of each year is a day to honor women for their role in society,
their contributions, and what they offer to future generations as mothers,
wives, and daughters.
This year, while the world celebrates and honors women, women in Gaza
continue to endure the weight of the siege and the consequences of a
genocidal war, which has led to the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinian
women, others have lost family members and homes, all while lacking the
most basic necessities of life and facing the threat of famine.
In Lebanon as well, women have endured the bitterness of a brutal war
waged by the criminal Zionist entity, making immense sacrifices for the
sake of the victory that was achieved.
As for Bahrain, the Khalifi regime has intensified its pressure on women
with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. It summons them for
interrogation on pre-arranged, malicious, and fabricated charges simply for
expressing their freedom of opinion and expression. In addition, hundreds
of mothers and wives continue to suffer as their sons or husbands remain
political prisoners in the regime’s detention centers.
On the occasion of “International Women’s Day,” we, the Women’s
Committee of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition, extend our
salute to the women of the world. We express our deep appreciation, pride,
and respect for the women of Palestine, Lebanon, and all resistance
nations. We express our gratitude to the women in Bahrain who have
continued the path of the revolution for over 14 years, making sacrifices
with unwavering patience and resilience. We also reaffirm our solidarity
with the daughter of Sheikh Al-Jadhafsi and all the free women targeted by
the Khalifi regime.
