Weekly Position: Popular and Religious Scholars’ Steadfastness Will Bring Down Al Khalifa Control over Religious Pulpits, and the “Tyrant Hamad’s” Bet on Trump and Netanyahu Will Hasten His Disgraceful End
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition issued its weekly position. Its text reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We express our profound appreciation and praise for the preachers, scholars, and all our dear people in Bahrain for their unequivocal adherence to their religious identity and to the Sharia ruling rejecting any official interference in religious affairs, particularly following the Al Khalifa entity’s latest step of requiring a security permit for religious preaching in mosques and ma’atims.
The scholars of Bahrain and the national opposition forces, in addition to the residents of the towns, and Bahrain’s ma’atims and Husseiniyahs, have issued successive statements affirming their firm position on overturning the illegitimate decisions aimed at imposing Al Khalifa guardianship over the people’s beliefs and religious rituals. They have also stressed their readiness to defend the sanctity of mosques and ma’atims and the Sharia rulings, and to adopt all legitimate means to that end, including civil disobedience and widespread protests throughout all areas of the country.
In light of the latest developments, we set out the following points in this weekly position:
1. We reaffirm our conviction that the escalation of the war of ethnic cleansing—led by the tyrant Hamad—against the Shiites of Bahrain, their scholars, and their religious rituals has taken place in the context of the war of aggression against the Islamic Republic and the Resistance Front in the region. We stress that both wars converge in pursuing common objectives, beginning with subjugating peoples and poisoning their authentic values, binding them to a hybrid system of sectarianism and the trivialization of killing and insults, and placing the affairs of their religion and worldly life in the hands of regimes subservient to the forces of hegemony and aggression, ultimately turning our peoples and countries into arenas completely subject to the interests and agenda of global arrogance.
2. Based on the foregoing, our vision for confronting the challenges inside and outside Bahrain stems from our assessment of the nature of the Al Khalifa entity as a functional entity that stakes its fate on carrying out the orders of external powers that undertake to secure the conditions for its existence and survival. Therefore, any liberationist and struggle-oriented position in confronting American and Zionist aggression and subversion in the region simultaneously requires a clear and explicit position against the Al Khalifa family, exposing their subservience and their aggression against the people and their identity. Likewise, no renaissance and liberation project in Bahrain will be able to achieve its objectives of justice and sovereignty unless it takes into account the inseparable link between resisting the forces of foreign aggression and bringing down the entity of tyranny and dependency in Bahrain.
3. The developments surrounding the Muscat Conference, which had been scheduled to be held on Monday, September 14, but was postponed indefinitely under American pressure, have revealed that the Gulf regimes are governed by the orders of the criminals “Trump and Netanyahu,” at the expense of the interests of the peoples and the security and stability of the Gulf. They are prepared to further violate the sovereignty of our countries and squander their wealth in order to please the Americans and Zionists, who repeatedly declare their determination to complete their plans to wage wars, foment discord and crises, and seize control of the region’s resources and strategic assets.
The submission of these client regimes has reached such a degree that they were prevented from maintaining complete silence in the face of the criminal Trump, who directly threatened every regime that departs from the dictates of obedience and servitude. He also repeatedly threatened to bomb the Sultanate of Oman in order to prevent it from entering into any coordination with Iran and cooperating with it to ensure the security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
4. Al Khalifa’s prior announcement that they would not attend the cancelled Muscat meeting provided further proof of their abject submission to the Americans and Zionists, and that they are a cheap tool used to create confusion and serve US-Zionist hegemony over the Gulf and its strategic security.
Although the Al Khalifa authorities have not concealed their appeals for the restoration of diplomatic relations with Iran, the lowly task assigned to them continues to require them to undertake dirty tasks in fomenting discord and sectarian strife and undermining the atmosphere of rapprochement with Iran, while simultaneously imposing normalization with the Americans and Zionists on the people and compelling them to support them and to adopt hostility toward Iran and the Resistance forces.
5. We renew our confidence in the faith of the peoples and their free will, which will prevail over the coercive enslavement imposed by regimes of repression and normalization. We also declare our commitment to the path of the Resistance and its martyred leaders, foremost among them the martyred Imam Khamenei and the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah, “may the pleasure of Allah Almighty be upon them both.”
In this regard, we commend the acts of heroism demonstrated by the steadfast Yemeni people, their armed forces, and their Popular Committees in the face of Saudi aggression and its mercenaries. We believe that its victories will have a major impact in accelerating the resurgence of the region’s forces and peoples and their advance toward freedom and liberation from hegemony and dependency, and in freeing our peoples and our region from the grip of the genocidal Netanyahu and the Epsteinian criminal Trump.
