Political Commentary: Revocation of Citizenship and Mass Deportation as Part of the Al Khalifa Project to Eliminate the Indigenous People of Bahrain
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
We affirm what was stated in the declaration of the February 14 Youth Coalition on April 28, and in the weekly position of its political council on April 27: that the revocation of citizenship from indigenous Bahraini citizens is part of a genocidal plan adopted by the Al Khalifa invaders since their occupation of the country in 1783. This has been followed by systematic policies including identity-based killings, religious persecution, sectarian and ethnic cleansing, and the erasure of villages, homes, and the religious and historical landmarks of the indigenous population.
– This plan to eliminate the indigenous people of Bahrain has taken a more dangerous turn with the rise of “the tyrant Hamad” to what is described as an illegitimate throne. He has personally overseen this plan, providing it with full financial support and bringing in external expertise and resources in security and law. This has included expertise from the United Kingdom and the United States, but the strongest cooperation has come from the Israeli entity. A strategic understanding has reportedly been reached between the two sides across multiple levels, going beyond normalization and security cooperation. This close collaboration is attributed to a perceived shared identity and similarities between the Al Khalifa and Zionist projects in terms of settlement, elimination, and mass displacement.
– The act committed by “the tyrant Hamad” of revoking the citizenship of 69 indigenous Bahraini citizens, along with the mass deportation of those stripped of nationality together with their families and children, is described as a fully-fledged act of genocide. It is part of a continuous pattern that the indigenous people of Bahrain have suffered for more than two centuries. We call on all religious authorities, international and human rights institutions, and all free people of the world to stand in solidarity with our people as they confront what is described as a campaign of extermination and displacement.
– This act is presented as part of retaliatory crimes carried out by allied regimes in the Gulf in response to popular and national positions rejecting what is described as the American–Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic and the resistance in Lebanon. These regimes are warned that they will pay a heavy price for the crimes committed against the peoples of the region and their values.
– We call on our loyal people in Bahrain to remain steadfast in their religious and political positions in this decisive struggle, especially in standing firmly with the “front of truth and resistance.” We urge all free people in our country to strengthen resilience and commitment to these principles. We also renew the urgent call for national forces in Bahrain to intensify joint efforts to establish a broad front to confront what is described as a plan to eliminate our people. This should coincide with a broader mobilization of what is termed legitimate resistance against American–Israeli presence, and unwavering support for the Islamic Republic, which is portrayed as a central force in confronting injustice, under its leadership, against what is described as aggression led by “Netanyahu and Trump.”
