Weekly Position: We Warn the Tyrant Hamad Against Continuing to Drag Bahrain into American Wars, and Call for Steadfastness in Confronting the System of Normalization and Subservience
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition has issued its weekly position, the text of which follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of Islamic Unity Week, during which Muslims commemorate the birth anniversary of the Greatest Messenger, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (PBUH), and his grandson, Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (PBUH), we renew, together with our dear people in Bahrain, our commitment to the religious and national principles upheld by the religious authorities and national figures in our country. Foremost among these principles are the fundamentals of faith, national unity, and the rejection of hatred and sectarian strife.
We stress that the objectives of the criminal Al Khalifa regime, since its occupation of the country, have revolved around undermining these principles and replacing them with an opposing system in all spheres. This has become fully evident in the renewed war against the beliefs and religious practices of the people of Bahrain, in parallel with the US-Israeli war imposed on Iran. It has become clear that the criminal Al Khalifa are nothing more than a cheap tool in the hands of the forces of arrogance and domination, today led by the two criminals, “Trump and Netanyahu.”
In this context, we record the following points in our weekly position:
1. The role assigned to the Al Khalifa regime in the calculations of the Americans and Zionists rests on three fundamental tasks. The first is to ignite discord among the peoples of the الأمة [Ummah] by sowing further internal conflict along sectarian and ethnic lines. The second is unlimited involvement in confronting the Resistance Front, including waging war against the beliefs and values upon which it is based. The third task is openly aligning with the forces of extremism and normalization sponsored by the Americans and Zionists to implement their plans for domination and the plundering of resources.
From this perspective, we regard the Al Khalifa as a dangerous evil. Our people and the peoples of the region cannot live in security and stability except by getting rid of them and liberating the country and its people from their rule. We stress the necessity of achieving this through a comprehensive and shared national liberation project.
2. We affirm that the war against Bahrain’s Shia community and its very existence, as well as the arrests and mass trials targeting their senior religious scholars, is part of the Al Khalifa regime’s implementation of plans linked to American arrogance and Zionist expansionism. From this perspective, we believe that the ongoing assault on Bahrain’s identity and values is carried out by the Al Khalifa and targets the authentic people of Bahrain. Yet it is an assault carried out in the name of an alliance of Americans, Zionists, advocates of normalization, and extremist forces.
It targets the peoples of resistance everywhere, particularly in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Bahrain. The aim is to sever these peoples from their history, values, religion, and morals—the very foundations that raise generations to resist oppression and occupiers.
3. The decision of our people in Bahrain to remain steadfast and defiant stems from two complementary dimensions. The first concerns defending their existence and identity in this blessed land. The second is their belonging to the victorious Resistance Front and its honorable leaders.
Accordingly, we affirm that the project of defending Bahrain’s authentic identity is not limited to confronting the tyrant Hamad and his war against Shia religious practices and their scholars. Rather, it is linked to rejecting submission to the project of betrayal and tyranny. This also clarifies our commitment to the equation of freedom and liberation in any national project aimed at saving Bahrain.
The values and religious practices attacked by the tyrant in our country are the same values that nurture the spirit of resistance against arrogance and domination. Thus, defending our identity in Bahrain is the other side of defending the resistance and its symbols across all arenas.
4. The war criminal “Trump” has announced an economic war against Iran, which he described as historic, alongside the imposition of a broad siege on the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and political and financial pressure aimed at disarming the resistance in Iraq. All of this comes with full support for the Saudi aggression against Yemen and the siege imposed on its resisting people, as well as providing cover for the Al Khalifa regime to carry out its campaign of persecution against Bahrain’s Shia community and their scholars.
What unites this entire picture is that these criminals and their tools have all failed to achieve their objectives through wars and military aggression, and that popular communities committed to resistance have neither collapsed nor bowed before terrorism. It is certain that our peoples and the leaders of the resistance will become stronger and more steadfast in confronting cognitive, economic, and media warfare, just as American bases in the region have fallen, just as the Zionists have failed to undermine the resistance in Lebanon, and just as the normalization regimes in the Gulf have faltered in the face of popular steadfastness in adhering to the path of resistance and liberation.
5. We renew our warning to the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain against the consequences of involving our country and our land in the American economic war against Iran and the Resistance Front. This aggressive war—and the effects and consequences that will follow—will constitute a new arena for reshaping the balance of power in the region, including making the Gulf tyrants pay the full price for their collaboration with the forces of occupation and terrorism.
In this regard, we call upon all national elites and forces in Bahrain to declare their disavowal of the reckless actions of the tyrant Hamad in dragging the country and its people into the conflicts and wars against neighboring states and the peoples of the region. At the same time, we affirm that his headlong pursuit of these reckless policies will hasten his disgraceful end, as is the fate of every agent and traitor to his country, people, and nation.
