Coinciding with the “National Day for the Expulsion of the American Base
from Bahrain”, Bahraini activists sent a message via email to the military
base located in Juffair.
The message, written in English according to the activists, expressed a
clear rejection of the American presence in Bahrain. It stated: “Your military
base is not welcome in Bahrain, as it has always conspired against the
aspirations of our people, hindering their pursuit of freedom, political
participation, and the right to self-determination.”
The message condemned the role played by the American military base in
fueling conflicts in the region and providing logistical and military support to
the Zionist entity from Bahraini soil.
It is worth noting that the Chairman of the Shura Council of February 14
Revolution Youth Coalition emphasized in his speech on the occasion of
the arrival of Ramadan the widespread engagement with the event held on
the first Friday of the month. This event has been annually designated by
the coalition as the “National Day for the Expulsion of the American Base
from Bahrain.”
The Political Council of February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition described
this base as a hub for hegemony and occupation in the region, and a
symbol of the satanic project that orchestrates conspiracies, wars, and
strife to dismantle the values of the Ummah, weaken its will, and align it to
the brutal Western culture.
It is noteworthy that in 1975, members of the Bahraini Parliament
demanded that the then-Emir of Bahrain, Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa,
expel the American naval base from the country, despite its annual
payment of 6 million Bahraini dinars to the state budget. This demand led
the Emir to issue a decree suspending the constitution indefinitely.
