February 14 Coalition Adopts “None Is Worthy of Worship but You” as the Slogan for Its Ashura Activities This Year
The February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition announced that it will adopt the slogan launched by Bahrain’s religious scholars for the Ashura season of 1448 AH in its cultural activities and public mobilization programs this year. The slogan is:
“None Is Worthy of Worship but You” (La Ma‘buda Siwaka).
The coalition noted that it organizes a variety of activities related to this occasion every year, while emphasizing broad participation in mourning gatherings (majalis al-aza) and religious processions. It also referred to what it described as an ongoing campaign targeting the Shiite community, its identity, and its religious beliefs.
Earlier, Bahrain’s religious scholars officially announced the launch of the Ashura slogan for the Islamic year 1448 AH, namely “None Is Worthy of Worship but You.” They explained that the slogan aims to place the doctrine of monotheism (Tawhid) at the center of all aspects of reform-oriented activism and to reinforce the belief in rejecting all forms of servitude or submission to anything other than God.
The scholars also called upon religious scholars, preachers, Muslims in general, institutions, public figures, and organizers of Hussaini activities to work together in promoting this Ashura slogan and advancing it intellectually, practically, and culturally.
