Human rights activists said that the detainees in building13 of the central prison of Joe have complained of the extent of their inhumane conditions, describing them as “hell.”

The detainees explained that they were being humiliated and that they were not allowed to claim the guaranteed rights, even though they were written on the wall of the reception, and that there were copies of them in each building. If anyone of them dared to mention that their demands were guaranteed, the sentence would be solitary confinement, preceded by beatings, insults, coursing and  threats .

They called for urgent action to stop the violations and hold the perpetrators accountable, demanding  the release of the detainees Hussein al-Sahlawi, Muhammad Sarhan, Salman Ismail, Ali al-Ghanmi and Ayman Abelis from solitary confinement, and enable them to communicate with their families.
