According to human rights sources, the prison administration of Joe prevented a number of prisoners of conscience in building 14 from their right to contact their relatives because of practicing religious rituals during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to human rights sources, the prison administration of Joe prevented a number of prisoners of conscience in building 14 from their right to contact their relatives because of practicing religious rituals during the holy month of Ramadan.

The sources explained that the prison administration transferred a number of them to solitary since Sunday, June 9, 2019, according to what detainees in other buildings have said.

The sources pointed out that building 14 is composed of two floors, ground and first floor, each floor has 12 cell, each cell has 10 fixed beds, while the number of detainees in each cell is currently between 14 to 16 prisoners, which means that the building allocated to 240 detainees while currently there are 360 ​​prisoners in this building.
