It is noteworthy that the mercenaries of al-Khalifa entity arrested Zuhair after raiding his house in Sitra town in November2, 2017. They searched his house and confiscated his personal belongings without giving the family any information or explanations about the reasons for the arrest and inspection, or even the presentation of any warrant.
On November 29, 2018, Zuhair was sentenced to death on charges that he had been confessed under torture. The illegal al-Khalifa court claimed that he has joined a terrorist cell operating in Bahrain against police officers, training people on the use of weapons, carrying out operations against police officers, targeting a police bus by a bomb on 27 October.
