Weekly Statement: Popular Anger on November 8 Marks the Beginning of a New Phase in Resisting the Aggression Against the People’s Identity
Issued by the Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition renews its call for readiness and full preparedness to participate in the activities of Popular Day of Rage” on November 8, in rejection of the trial of the hostage scholars held in the Al Khalifa regime’s prisons, and in reaffirmation of the position of defending the people’s identity and very existence.
The Council affirms that all members of this people, together with their honorable forces, will demonstrate the highest levels of cooperation, solidarity, and coordination in expressing popular anger and demonstrating their commitment to defending their faith and religion. All will participate across the country’s squares and public spaces to deliver firm and decisive messages, as emphasized by His Eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim (may Allah preserve him), as well as in the statements issued by the scholars and opposition forces.
In this context, we highlight the following key points in this week’s statement:
1. November 8 will be a day when all that stands for truth confronts all that stands for falsehood. Our proud people will not allow the tyrant and his entourage to carry out their terrorism and crimes without a decisive response and courageous resistance. Far be it from this people to remain silent or surrender in the face of the war and persecution being waged against their religion, symbols, and honorable leaders.
Silence in times of extermination amounts to surrendering to tyranny and the forces of the accursed Satan. This is something that will never come from this authentic people, who have been raised on dignity, honor, and faith.
This is particularly true as the Al Khalifa continue with their plans to eliminate the country’s authentic communities and flood the nation with foreign populations that threaten its social fabric, as revealed by official statistics acknowledging that the proportion of citizens has fallen to approximately 46%, while the number of expatriates and foreigners has risen to more than 53%.
2. We affirm that policies of terror, intimidation, and political abductions have failed, and will continue to fail, in bringing the popular and grassroots movement in our country to a halt.
Recent years have demonstrated that the people are capable of responding wisely and adapting to various challenges, hardships, and policies of siege. They may resort to regulating their means of protest and reorganizing their ranks, but they will never cease their struggle.
This commitment stems from the religious ruling prohibiting the abandonment of the pursuit of one’s rights and resistance against falsehood, as well as from their profound confidence in their ability and in their living and active forces to reorganize the priorities of their struggle. They have resolved not to compromise in defending their religion and sovereignty, regardless of the sacrifices involved.
3. Popular anger on November 8 represents the declaration of a decisive new round in the struggle against the tribal regime that has invaded the country. This round will have no limits in time or place, and it will not be merely a passing outcry.
Rather, this popular anger will mark the beginning of a new phase, characterized by an end to patience with the tyrant and his project of eliminating the country’s indigenous citizens.
From this day forward, there can be no tolerance for any further encroachment upon religious beliefs and sacred rituals. This is a message that the tyrant must carefully consider before it is too late, particularly in light of the developments unfolding in our beloved country and the transformations taking place across the region and the world, where calculations and balances of power are shifting.
4. The policy of imposing loyalty and forcing people to repeat the Al Khalifa narrative of the conquest of Bahrain will not succeed in legitimizing the Al Khalifa family or concealing their dark history.
The tyrant Hamad will fail to achieve the malicious objectives behind the programs and activities imposed upon the people to glorify the history of his conquering ancestors. This includes the reopening of what is known as Al Fateh Mosque, as well as the destruction and erasure of Bahrain’s authentic historical archives from institutions and educational curricula.
We recognize that confronting this challenge requires extensive efforts by scholars, intellectuals, researchers, and independent activists. However, the people’s adherence to their identity and determination to revive the true history of Bahrain will ultimately become the downfall of the occupiers.
They will remain strangers and outsiders in the eyes of the people, and this blessed land and its authentic inhabitants will never accept them. The day will come when their occupation is defeated, their falsehoods and fabrications are exposed, and their distorted narratives about the history of this country—and the persecution, killing, and rape inflicted upon it at their hands—are laid bare.
5. Over the past few days, the Al Khalifa entity has celebrated what is known as the Manama Dialogue,” one of the political platforms through which the British government seeks to restore the former glories of its colonial domination over the region.
This annual forum is overseen by a British institute operating in accordance with the agendas of colonial powers and Western security and arms companies.
This colonial gathering serves as a platform for promoting policies of domination and destabilizing the region. The Al Khalifa family hopes that it will secure foreign protection and facilitate their integration into colonial alliances led by the United States and its Zionist allies, in exchange for polishing their image, which has been stained by crimes and violations.
However, these illusory calculations have become futile. Regional security arrangements can no longer be sustained without taking into account the new realities imposed by Iran’s steadfastness in the face of US-Zionist aggression, the emptying of foreign military bases spread throughout the Gulf, and the collapse of the option of relying on external security and protection at the expense of the interests of peoples and national independence.
