February 14 Coalition: The Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, a Universal Symbol Who Transcended the Boundaries of Geography, Sect, and Nationality
The February 14 Youth Coalition issued a statement marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the “Most Esteemed Martyr, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may God sanctify his secret)” and his Hashemite chosen successor, “Sayyed Hashem Safieddine (may God have mercy on him).” The statement reads:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Today, we stand on the second anniversary of the ascension of the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his Hashemite chosen successor, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine. Here, blood meets with positions, and covenants are renewed with the passing of each new day, before a great spiritual milestone in the history of the nation.
The great departed figure, the “Most Esteemed Martyr,” was a defining presence who shaped the features of an entire generation and restored meaning to dignity at a time when it was on the verge of being reduced to a vocabulary of defeat and collapse. His slogan, which he planted in our hearts and minds, was: “The era of defeats is over, and the era of victories has come.”
On this spiritual occasion, we affirm the following:
First: The Master of the Nation’s Martyrs was an exceptional leader in every sense of the word, and a universal symbol who transcended the boundaries of geography, sect, and nationality. From beneath his pulpit emerged generations of resistance throughout the world, who found in his discourse, thought, and approach a compass unwaveringly directed toward the liberation of Jerusalem and the attainment of freedom and dignity. His voice was not confined to any particular environment; rather, its resonance extended to inspire every free person who rejects submission and subservience.
Second: This anniversary comes as the resistance front is stronger, more resilient, and more firmly established than before, in a scene that clearly exposes the failure of all the calculations made by the Zionist entity and its patron, the United States, to eliminate this axis or undermine its presence.
The pure blood that was unjustly shed became fuel for a Husayni and Karbala-inspired journey that grows more steadfast whenever conspiracies intensify and becomes more deeply rooted whenever its adversaries imagine that they have come close to extinguishing it. Thus, this pure blood has been transformed into an erupting volcano in the battles of “Mighty Resolve” and “Devouring Storm.”
Third: In Bahrain, where we commemorate this anniversary alongside our steadfast people through diverse revolutionary activities, despite the severity of the security crackdown that unjustly seeks to deprive people of their right to expression.
Had our people been left to exercise their free will, tens of thousands would have gathered in the squares and public spaces out of loyalty and gratitude to this great leader, whom the believing masses loved.
The name of Bahrain was never absent from his speeches. Rather, it was present in them as an expression of support for the grievances of its people and in support of their just cause. Even if repression has restricted the scope of popular commemorative activities marking this anniversary, it will remain incapable of erasing the love for a great leader who made the causes of the oppressed everywhere his own cause and a matter of conscience.
In conclusion: As we recall the epic of the “People of Resolve” and the ascension of the pure souls of the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs and his great Hashemite chosen successor, we renew our pledge to preserve their path for as long as we remain and for as long as blood flows through our veins.
The blood of leaders does not die; rather, it becomes torches that illuminate the path of future generations toward victory and liberation. And victory comes only from Allah.
