The Closing of the “Qadha” Camp: Loyalty to the Tyrant and Servitude to His Regime
Bahrain’s tyrant, Hamad Al Khalifa, attended the final day of the “Qadha Junior” camp, supervised by his son Nasser. The fourth edition of the camp was dedicated to boys, girls, and young people. Its organizers had carefully prepared a theatrical closing ceremony intended to highlight its propaganda objectives this year.
The tyrant Hamad’s attendance at the closing of the “Qadha” camp on September 3 revealed the objectives set for this camp, which began on August 10. The visit included a series of activities aimed at instilling the doctrine of “loyalty to the military” and forcing citizens, young and old, to make it the foundation of a distorted concept of the homeland and national belonging. This was evident, for example, in the scripted chants raised by the young participants as they welcomed Hamad in their military uniforms, the collective recitation of what is called the national anthem, and the poems recited by a child before the tyrant, which included incitement to hatred, killing, and accusations of treason.
Unlike scouting camps, which train participants in the values of collective cooperation, the common good, and self-reliance, the “Qadha” camp was prepared and organized to be part of a program of collective subjugation, imposing values of branding others as traitors, servitude to the tyrant, and submission to whatever he issues in the way of killing and betrayal, both domestically and abroad.
An Ongoing Plan in the War on Identity and the Poisoning of the Concept of National Belonging
Some aspects of the objectives of the “Qadha” camp can be discerned by examining the developments resulting from the war of aggression against Iran, as the course of this war directly affected the situation in Bahrain after the tyrant linked his complicity in it to an escalation of the war against Bahrain’s Shiite community and its religious scholars.
Over the past months, the Al Khalifas have expanded the decisions and programs that require everyone to prove their loyalty to the homeland by demonstrating loyalty to the tyrant, his soldiers, and his mercenaries. They have compelled citizens to display this primitive form of loyalty, or else be considered traitors to the homeland, with all the severe punitive measures that this entails.
The Al Khalifas are working to impose this understanding among citizens through the media, educational curricula, decrees, and camps, without overlooking the program known as “Our Bahrain,” which operates throughout the year under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior. Its activities revolve around a “war on identity,” aimed at displacing the proper concept of national belonging in favor of an obsolete tribal concept based on the idea of servitude, coercion by the sword, and enticement through spoils.
