Following Extensive Efforts by a Specialized Team, the February 14 Youth Coalition Mourns Sheikh Ali Al-Mahouzi as a Resistance Martyr and Calls for Participation in the Upcoming Funeral Ceremony
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Further to what was stated in previous statements, and in observance of the recognized Islamic legal principles, the February 14 Youth Coalition mourns His Eminence Sheikh Ali Al-Mahouzi Al-Bahrani as a resistance martyr on the path of Wilayah, following extensive efforts undertaken by a specialized team to determine his fate after contact with him was lost in southern Lebanon during the battles in April 2026.
From the very first hours after His Eminence went missing, the team carried out exhaustive field searches, interviewed eyewitnesses, and worked with the relevant parties on the ground in the hope of reaching conclusive findings regarding his fate, in fulfillment of its religious and national duty toward His Eminence and toward our beloved people of Bahrain.
Based on the information and findings confirmed by the specialized team, the February 14 Youth Coalition announces the following:
1. His Eminence Sheikh Al-Mahouzi attained the highest rank and was honored with martyrdom in April 2026 while engaged in what the coalition describes as jihad against the Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon. According to the statement, he was killed in an Israeli airstrike while steadfastly advancing and never retreating.
2. The competent medical authorities transferred the body of Martyr Sheikh Al-Mahouzi to another village in southern Lebanon, different from the one in which he was killed, due to the intensity of the fighting and the difficulty of movement at the time. He was temporarily buried in one of the villages of Jabal Amel adjacent to the location where he was killed. The burial site has since been identified, and, according to the statement, his identity was religiously verified by the medical rescue team that recovered his body, eyewitnesses among his fellow fighters who accompanied him before his mission and after his return as a martyr, as well as by individuals involved in his burial.
3. The Coalition mourns His Eminence Sheikh Al-Mahouzi as a resistance martyr on the soil of southern Lebanon, describing him as another shining symbol among Bahrain’s fighters. It states that his death reaffirms what it characterizes as the choice of the Bahraini people to stand alongside the forces of the resistance, transcending what it calls the boundaries of colonial geography and unjust political constraints. The statement further places him in a lineage extending from “the resistance martyr Muzahim Al-Shattar” to “the resistance martyr Al-Mahouzi,” who, it says, fulfilled his life’s greatest aspiration in defending the cause of Wilayah.
4. The statement describes Martyr Sheikh Al-Mahouzi as a living example of martyrs and those missing in action, asserting that God chose him for martyrdom in the manner he had long wished and planned for throughout his life. It states that his life was devoted to defending the peoples of what it calls the “Resistance Front,” particularly the people of southern Lebanon, for whom he held deep affection, as well as their martyrs and their land of resistance, in the face of what it describes as Israeli domination. It further states that his spiritual and practical readiness for martyrdom in support of the oppressed never diminished, citing among its examples his carrying the trust of the people of Bahrain and his rejection of any reconciliation with what the statement refers to as the “criminal Khalifi regime.”
5. In honor of Martyr Sheikh Ali Al-Mahouzi and in recognition of what it describes as his sacrifices and lifelong commitment to Wilayah and jihad, the Coalition calls upon supporters of the Resistance Front to prepare for and participate in his funeral and burial in the place he loved, namely the sacred cemetery that, according to the statement, is the resting place of many martyrs in the southern suburbs of Beirut. It also calls upon the people of Bahrain to hold symbolic mourning ceremonies in parallel with the funeral, the details of which will be announced at a later date, God willing.
May Allah have mercy upon the blessed Martyr Sheikh Al-Mahouzi and accept him as a resistance martyr. In the name of the people of Bahrain, we pledge to continue on the path of jihad and resistance, under the guidance of the Guardian Jurist (Wali al-Faqih), until truth prevails and falsehood is removed from our beloved homeland.
