Weekly Position Statement: We Warn Al Khalifa of the Consequences of a War of Extermination in Bahrain… and the Tyrant Hamad Will Not Escape the Consequences of His Latest Folly
The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition has issued its weekly position statement. The full text is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition warns the Al Khalifa entity in Bahrain of the consequences of what it is planning for the upcoming Ashura season and of expanding its open war aimed at the extermination of Shiite citizens in the country. It affirms that the accumulating repercussions of the purge plan being led by the tyrant Hamad will have severe and far-reaching consequences for him personally and for his associates.
The drive toward extermination, ethnic cleansing, and “beheading” is a continuation of Al Khalifa’s reckless rush toward their final grave, after having tied their fate to the exterminationist entity in occupied Palestine and the administration of the criminal Trump. This reckless course will drag its perpetrators toward an unceasing downfall and eventual ruin. They will gain neither security nor stability in governance by sheltering behind savage regimes—regardless of the extent of their material power—because terrorism and killing do not create legitimacy, nor do they achieve genuine popular consensus. The laws of the universe and the course of history will ultimately favor resistant peoples who reject humiliation and defeat.
In this context, we record the following points in this weekly position statement:
1. The criminal Al Khalifa entity is preparing to expand its policy of control over the Ashura season in Bahrain, relying on terror and repression. The architects of extermination in the country imagine that arresting senior scholars and preachers will enable them to tighten their grip over mourning halls (ma’atim) and Ashura processions, and further restrict the pulpits that generate public awareness and strengthen the presence of the masses in Ashura commemorations. However, repeated experience—of which the Al Khalifa entity never seems to learn—proves exactly the opposite. Religious identity and steadfast adherence to beliefs and rituals are deeply rooted among the people and society. Faith is not a fragile or transient plant that can be uprooted through intimidation. The undeniable reality is that threatening identity, belief, and religious rites, and subjecting them to severe challenges, will lead to even stronger adherence to them and to greater sacrifices in their defense.
2. The tyrant believes that abducting scholars and preachers can serve as a means of blackmail to force society to restrict the commemoration of Ashura and prevent people from activating the true values of this great occasion. However, the tyrant will suffer a disappointment greater than his previous failures. Our scholars and captive leaders have served as a safety valve in managing the faithful community and in containing the growing public anger caused by assaults on beliefs and religious rites. Our senior scholars have succeeded in building a balance on the ground that preserves the rites and maintains the unity of society and the homeland. Yet with the persistence of cleansing and extermination, the equation governing the conflict has changed. The faithful masses have become more concerned with embodying and advancing the values of Ashura at the level of revolutionary slogans and legitimate confrontation, within open options aimed at deterring aggressors.
3. Al Khalifa relies on the illusion that the expansion of the American-Zionist project will provide them with a safe space to implement a project of cleansing Shiites in Bahrain. They draw strength as well from the odious scheme managed by the Zionized Emirati settlement and from the path taken by the regime in Kuwait in its systematic persecution of Shiites, the arrest of their scholars and symbols, and exposing them to death in prison, as occurred with the death of “the notable Hajj Musa Al-Misri” in unjust detention after he and his brothers were accused on fabricated charges related to the aggression against Iran. In contrast, our people in Bahrain believe that the equations of conflict are not governed solely by the logic of force and brutality, and that faith and the power of truth have a profound effect in confronting dangers, together with the provision of the means of strength and defense. This lesson has been demonstrated by the Resistance Front led by the Islamic Republic, and by its steadfastness in the face of global tyranny through reliance on the twin pillars of faith and the power of resistance. This has made this honorable front today a beacon of hope for the free people of the world in their struggle against colonialism and arrogance. Our people in Bahrain follow this path and will not deviate from it.
4. We believe that the confrontation taking place in Bahrain today is based on an existential conflict between the outsider tribe and the indigenous people (both Sunnis and Shiites). This conflict has reached its peak from both opposing sides, and there is no longer any room for formulas of rapprochement or for repairing the relationship between them. Al Khalifa brandishes the weapons of killing, mass displacement, and the eradication of authentic identity, while the people will not accept bowing down, surrendering, or yielding to intimidation. Nor will they be deceived by the voices that polish the crimes of the Khalifis or by the misleading propaganda surrounding Hamad’s projects of religious tolerance and coexistence. All such projects have been completely crushed by his new campaign against scholars, beliefs, and religious rites.
The national opposition forces remain steadfast alongside their people who stand firm in the face of extermination and cleansing. They are also committed to expanding their programs and activities to strengthen this steadfastness and challenge within Bahrain, including moving toward the formulation of a broad political project that prepares the way for comprehensive change in the country and exposes the extermination project in Bahrain.
5. We reaffirm our confidence in and commitment to the leadership of the Wali al-Faqih, Imam Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei (may Allah preserve him), whom we regard as the trusted helmsman of the Resistance Front, which we consider today to be humanity’s foremost banner in confronting the most powerful empires of arrogance and domination, represented by the criminals Trump and Netanyahu. We believe that one of the signs of Al Khalifa’s downfall is their blind involvement in an alliance with these two criminals, who are rejected by all the peoples of the world. The tyrant Hamad and his clique do not hesitate to implement the agenda of this bloody alliance, including what the Khalifis are doing in the Security Council and in secret chambers through efforts and plans aimed at securing international exits for aggression against the Republic and eliminating the resistance in Lebanon. Al Khalifa’s subordination to the alliance of Trump and Netanyahu is the latest of the follies and strategic mistakes that will bring about their downfall at the awaited moment when all criminals and their lesser accomplices fall before the eyes of the entire world.
