For the 175th consecutive week, al-Khalifa regime forbids Friday prayers in Bahrain

On Friday, August 30, 2019, the people held an individual prayer at Imam Sadiq Mosque “P” in the town of al-Deraz, after al-Khalifa regime had banned the largest Friday prayer for the 175th consecutive week.

This comes within the ongoing war launched by al-Khalifa regime against the rites of, while it declares its tolerance with the religions in international forums to cover up its rush towards normalization with the Zionist entity. The regime intentionally assault on Ashura manifestations that the people in the towns are spreading with the approach of Ashura season 1441H

It is noteworthy that al-Khalifa regime has prevented the President of the Islamic Council, Sayed. Majid Al-Meshaal, from leading the prayers at Imam Sadiq Mosque “P” in al- Diraz region, by forcing him to sign a written pledge that he would not delivering religious sermons during his interrogation at Hamad Town police station on Friday, June 7, 2019.  The sectarian regime claimed that there was a ban issued by the so-called “Jaafari” Endowments Department, as well as another one by the Ministry of Interior for this procedure.
