Families of sick prisoners of conscience demand their right to treatment

The family of the detainee, Hussein Abdul Aziz al-Marri, has demanded to enable him to receive the appropriate treatment or to release him under alternative sentences, for  spending more than three-quarters of the time, to take care of his treatment temporally.

According to human rights sources, al-Marri, is suffering from retinal detachment, which may lead to the loss of vision. He was suffering from local separation, but the delay of treatment has caused a complete separation that led to a large loss of vision. He is also has a skin allergy, that its effects are clear on his body, noting that the prison administration continues to procrastinate in providing the treatment.

It is noteworthy that the prisoner of conscience “Hussein Abdel Aziz al-Marri” has been sentenced to 5 years on political charges, and he spent 4 years so far. He is jailed in the Central Prison of Joe, Building No. 1 Ward No. 2.

The family of the prisoner of conscience “Hussein al-Fardan”  also expressed serious concern for his health and safety, noting that he is subjected to medical negligence, and procrastination in the provision of appropriate treatment , in particular that he suffers from a severe scleroderma.

The family, according to human rights sources, said that “Hussain-23 years”, is serving his sentence on political grounds in Joe Central Prison. He has been suffering from a severe stroke for six days, and demanding to be transferred to the hospital to stop the pains. He stayed in the hospital for a month; including 12 days in intensive care, after the hemoglobin level of the blood reached to the lowest degree, and the doctor recommended him to have an appropriate treatment without delay.

The family stated that they filed several complaints but to no avail, holding the prison administration the full responsibility in light of procrastination.
