Weekly Statement: Popular Presence in the Squares Affirms the Path of Wilayah and Resistance… The Tyrant Must Despair of Subjugating the People and Their Honorable Scholars
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition has issued its weekly statement, the text of which reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition highly commends the masses of our dear people in Bahrain, who continue to insist on their right to defend their religious rituals and safeguard their identity and authentic existence in the land of their forefathers, in the face of Al Khalifa terrorism and the campaign of ethnic cleansing led by the tyrant Hamad, as a continuation of the project aimed at eliminating the indigenous citizens and replacing them with a bloody settler presence composed of mercenaries and occupiers.
We affirm that the massive public presence in the squares and public spaces, and the confrontation of unjust Al Khalifa laws, is the strongest option through which our people will confront the unprecedented aggressive scheme being waged against them. Our people will never remain silent in the face of any infringement upon their sacred values and religious rituals. They will challenge policies of cleansing and extermination and will exercise what they consider their sacred right to legitimate resistance, for they will never allow their faith and beliefs to be distorted or be separated from the front of truth and honorable resistance under the leadership of the victorious Islamic Republic, God willing.
In this context, we record the following points in this week’s statement:
1.
The holding of processions commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him), despite the ban and Al Khalifa repression, represents a living embodiment of our people’s determination to defend their religious rituals and spiritual values. This decision is based on an increasingly deep awareness rooted in the rejection of the dark history of the Al Khalifa family in Bahrain, the lessons learned from confronting what the coalition describes as their occupation, and resistance to what it characterizes as their genocidal approach. The statement further claims that these policies mirror and serve the interests of the Israeli occupation in Palestine, including settlement expansion, forced mass displacement, systematic demographic change, and the suppression of the cultural, geographic, and urban presence of the indigenous population.
2.
Likewise, our people in Bahrain remain steadfast in affirming their commitment to the path of Wilayah and their affiliation with the Resistance Front. Across the country, symbolic funeral processions for the martyred Imam Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified) were held to emphasize that this people will neither compromise nor retreat from the banner of Wilayah. Their determination to defend it reflects an unwavering conviction and steadfast faith, as well as a declaration of a firm decision implemented on the ground. Our living people—with their scholars, leaders, and honorable forces—will never allow repression or intimidation to undermine their faith or deprive them of what they regard as their true religion and loyalty. The Al Khalifa family knows that this people cannot be subdued or brought to submission and remains prepared to make sacrifices on this sacred path.
3.
We renew our support for our esteemed scholars who are being held in Al Khalifa prisons and condemn the continuation of what we consider their unjust trial, whose second session was held on Sunday, July 12. During the hearing, our steadfast scholars demonstrated their rejection of these proceedings, reaffirmed their commitment to Islamic law and religious rituals, and refused to relinquish their faith or beliefs by even the slightest degree, regardless of how much the tyrant Hamad intensifies his hatred and crimes. We have great confidence in the steadfastness and dignity of our honorable scholars inside the dark prison cells. They remain the guiding light for the people and the firm bulwark defending religion and the values of the nation. The tyrant, we say, should abandon all hope of extracting from them—or even from “the poorest of the poor” among our resistant people, as our leading jurist Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim (may God preserve him) said—any pledge of submission.
4.
The campaign against Bahrain’s Shi’a is presented as a parallel front to the Al Khalifa family’s involvement in what the coalition describes as the U.S.-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic. According to the statement, this aggression extends beyond military conflict into a complex cognitive war targeting the values, ethics, and principles of the peoples of the region, including religious beliefs that reject oppression, humiliation, and submission to enemies and occupiers. The coalition argues that the campaign against Bahrain’s Shi’a is closely connected to the broader campaign against the Islamic Republic and the Resistance Front, reinforcing what it sees as the correctness of the Bahraini people’s rejection of this war and their condemnation of Bahrain’s involvement in it, despite its harmful consequences for the country’s interests, security, and stability.
5.
Following the recent obituary statement issued by the February 14 Coalition confirming the death of Sheikh Ali Al-Mahouzi Al-Bahrani (may God have mercy on him), we once again extend our condolences and congratulations to his family and to our people in Bahrain. We affirm that what we describe as the great honor attained by our beloved martyr on the soil of southern Lebanon stands as a source of pride for every member of our people, who will remain among the foremost free peoples defending the oppressed throughout the world and who proudly uphold their model of Wilayah, faith, and moral commitment, which, according to the statement, the martyred Imam Khamenei (may his soul be sanctified) elevated to its highest expression of dignity, sacrifice, and devotion.
We call upon our dear people to prepare for the funeral ceremonies of “Martyr Sheikh Al-Mahouzi” by organizing symbolic funeral processions throughout all regions of Bahrain and raising the martyr’s portraits together with the banners and slogans of Wilayah and Resistance.
