The Diplomacy of “His Excellency Trump”: Al-Zayani Promotes the “Peace” Council… While the People See It as a Tool of Colonialism
On 28 January 2026, the Bahraini regime’s Foreign Minister, Rashid Al-Zayani, met with those referred to as members of the legislative authority in Bahrain, explaining what he described as Bahraini diplomacy aimed at achieving sustainable peace in the region. However, Al-Zayani appeared during the meeting as little more than a minor employee promoting the global policies of the criminal Donald Trump.
Officials of the Al Khalifa regime repeatedly use the phrase “His Excellency the President” when referring to the criminal Trump, a clear expression of this regime’s full alignment with every project issued by his administration regarding regional and international affairs — from Gaza and Syria, through Lebanon and Iran, and ending with Venezuela.
This reflects the absolute subservience to U.S. policy, which operates according to laws of domination and brutality. Yet Al Khalifa persistently insist on describing the “Great Satan” as a friendly state, applauding everything that comes from Trump and considering his arrogant policies the path to security and stability. This was precisely what Al-Zayani stated in his meeting with members of the legislative authority, as he promoted the so-called “Peace Council”, admitting that it has become an “official international organization”, in contrast to the umbrella of the United Nations and its institutions — which Trump and the criminal Netanyahu mock on every occasion.
What Is the Position of the “Al Khalifa Parliament” on Bahrain’s Joining the “Trump Council”?
Rashid Al-Zayani did not stop praising the criminal Trump during his meeting with members of the “parliament,” promoting all American propaganda that presents the so-called Peace Council as the key to security and peace in the region. This took place amid the silence of the “parliamentary” members, who proved that they do not represent the Bahraini people. During the meeting, not a single objection was raised regarding joining Trump’s council without referring the matter to their so-called parliament or obtaining its approval.
In addition, there exists widespread popular rejection of this council, which Bahrainis describe as a council of new colonialism. They affirm that the people of Bahrain believe peace can only be achieved through the liberation of all of Palestine, the expulsion of occupiers from the region, and the end of American hegemony that wreaks havoc everywhere. Yet Al-Zayani and the Al Khalifa regime insist that “His Excellency the criminal” Trump is the solution, and that his plan is the path to security and peace.
