The prisoners of conscience in Al-Khalifa prisons confirmed that the precautionary measures against the spread of the Corona virus that had reached Bahrain are insufficient and aimed at protecting mercenaries more than prisoners.
While they were prevented from visiting on the pretext of preventing them from contact with their families coming from outside, mercenaries are still coming out and mixing with the rest of society, which reinforces fears that they themselves transmit the disease to the isolated detainees.
The Prisoner “Hajir Mansour” wondered why policewomen put masks and taking preventive measures for themselves , while the detainees do not have any of these, especially since the majority of the policewomen are of different nationalities and some of them come from leave, and others mingle with people from affected countries.
The sports opinion -detainee, the Bahraini champion of Jiu-Jitsu, Muhammad Mirza, raised the same question, expressing his concern about the possible transmission of the virus from mercenaries to detainees, and with sensitive medical conditions in prison buildings, conditions become more dangerous.
It is noteworthy that the February 14 Coalition strongly criticized the failure of the regime in confronting the crisis of “Corona virus” in Bahrain, taking advantage of the suffering of the people to take revenge on them by stoking sectarianism through its paid media, and not to taking necessary measures to return travelers from abroad, according to its statement.
