At a hearing session on Monday, 17 June 2019, the Court of Cassation of al-Khalifa regime upheld a five-year sentence for life and disqualification of citizenships for the falsely defendants in the bombing of Buri’s oil pipeline, making the verdict final and unappealable.
The defendants are, Mohammed Abdullah al-Mahrous, Anwar Abdulaziz al-Mushaima, Fadhel Mohammed Jaafar (life and revocation of citizenship), Adel Ahmed Ali Saleh (10 years imprisonment and revocation of citizenship), Hassan Mohammed Hassan Fadel (5 years) and the displaced ,Habib Abdul Latif Mahdi , Abdullah Jaafar Ahmed al-Madani, and Mohammed Ali Ibrahim Khalil (life imprisonment).
Meanwhile, the detainees confirmed that they had been subjected to harsh torture to take their confessions.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior announced in a statement on February 7, 2018, that it had arrested a group of youths charged with the bombing of the oil pipeline in Buri area on November 10, 2017.
