Weekly Statement: The Exposure of the Tyrant Hamad’s Great Betrayal Requires Pursuing New Options to Liberate Bahrain from Occupation and Foreign Bases
Issued by the Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition renews its call to all concerned in Bahrain to recognize the extreme gravity of the current phase facing the country and the region. It affirms the urgent necessity of building new political options that match the existential dangers surrounding all, especially after the exposure of the involvement of Gulf regimes in the American–Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their participation in incitement, funding, and providing full services through bases and intelligence facilities.
We believe that the primary principle of any political option under this aggression must be the removal of the tyrant Hamad and his ruling clan, and bringing them to a fair trial as war criminals and traitors to the nation. We stress that ignoring this reality will lead to the continued escalation of the ruling Al Khalifa in implementing their dangerous project aimed at eliminating the native population of Bahrain, similar to what is described as comprehensive destruction led by Trump and Netanyahu, representing a destructive colonial project opposed by leaders of the resistance, including the late Imam Khamenei and other prominent figures.
In this context, we record the following points in this weekly statement:
The Al Khalifa authority is described as a center of corruption and betrayal in the Gulf. Evidence of this, according to the statement, has accumulated since their control over Bahrain up to the present day, in parallel with what is described as the historical formation of the United States through violence and collective crimes against indigenous populations. The alliance of Al Khalifa with Israeli leadership and decision-makers in Washington, and their shared hostility toward values, ethics, and resistance, is presented as a reflection of their nature, origins, and historical presence in the region since taking control of Bahrain by force more than two centuries ago. The statement further claims that since 2000, policies have been pursued to complete a project targeting the native population, paving the way for full alignment with global powers of dominance. It adds that Hamad has come to be viewed alongside Netanyahu and Trump as among the most extreme and notorious figures in the eyes of Bahrainis who identify with the country’s authentic identity.
Based on a trajectory spanning nearly a quarter century of what is described as illegitimate rule, Hamad is accused of implementing a series of projects that continue the legacy of his predecessors in deception, violence, and conspiracy against the identity of the people of the country. From the beginning, his role is described as being tied to colonial policies planned by the United States in the region and the world. In this context, since assuming power, he is said to have implemented programs aimed at weakening the identity of the Bahraini people and undermining their values and principles, which are portrayed as being opposed to the American–Israeli project. The statement includes in this context the entire trajectory attributed to Hamad and his ruling family, starting from the constitutional changes in 2002, the demographic engineering project referenced in the 2006 report, the signing of agreements—both secret and public—that enabled foreign American and British military presence in Bahrain, and culminating in the 2020 normalization agreement with Israel, described as formal entry into a broader alliance.
The American–Israeli actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran are described as the most significant moment exposing the nature of the role that Hamad had prepared over two decades. The statement asserts that the people of Bahrain had already made their position clear before these events by distancing themselves from the policies of the ruling authorities. Over the past six years, they are said to have expressed their stance through protests and public positions supporting what is described as the resistance in the region. This included rejecting normalization, participating in demonstrations in support of resistance movements, and firmly opposing American military bases and alliances targeting other nations. Accordingly, the statement presents it as natural that the people of Bahrain would be among the first to show solidarity with Iran in confronting American–Israeli actions, and to declare loyalty to the late Imam Khamenei and other figures described as martyrs, while openly condemning the participation of the ruling authorities in actions against Iran.
The statement adds that the people did not limit themselves to rejecting these actions, but also sought to expose what it describes as the involvement of the ruling authorities, and expressed support for Iran’s right to target American bases and intelligence centers located in Bahrain and the region, which it claims were used in military operations against Iran.
The statement asserts that the people of Bahrain have paid a high price for their position in supporting Iran and opposing these policies, referring to repression, arrests, and various forms of retaliation. It also mentions what it describes as fabricated cases involving groups linked to Hezbollah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as retaliatory policies that allegedly included the use of American Patriot missile systems in incidents affecting residential areas. It further refers to an incident on March 27 involving the death of an individual named Sayyid Mohammed al-Mousawi, describing it as a severe act of violence and alleging that he was subjected to harsh treatment. According to the statement, this incident was intended as a warning, but instead was met with expressions of solidarity and resilience from the public and the individual’s family. The title “Martyr of Loyalty” is described as a response symbolizing continued commitment to the cause, reinforcing the assertion that the people will remain steadfast until what is described as victory is achieved.
In conclusion, the statement presents three messages in light of the expected developments at the regional and global levels. The first is directed at Hamad, stating that reliance on military appearance, external support, or foreign bases will not prevent accountability for actions attributed to his leadership. The second message is directed at Rashid Al Khalifa, rejecting security policies based on violence, arrests, and what are described as fabricated charges, and asserting that such measures will not compel the population to abandon their positions. It includes a statement of defiance emphasizing that their cause and identity will endure. The final message is addressed to the people of Bahrain, praising their role and resilience, affirming their commitment to their values and heritage, and encouraging continued perseverance in pursuit of what is described as justice, dignity, and freedom, alongside support for oppressed groups and opposition to global systems of domination.
