Statement issued by Bahrain Operations Room (10):
The UAE military presence in Bahrain is illegitimate, and Al Khalifa regime camps are legitimate targets due to their involvement in the war
The “Bahrain Operations Room” has followed the announcement made by the so-called “Bahrain Defence Force” regarding the death of a member of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, who, according to the statement, was responding to Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom’s territory with missiles and drones since February 28, 2026.
The presence of UAE military forces on Bahraini territory, which operate in coordination with the American military presence and participate in launching attacks against a neighboring country, lacks any popular, national, or constitutional legitimacy. It also contradicts the will of the people to maintain independence and to refrain from attacking the Islamic Republic from Bahraini soil.
This UAE military presence has come within the context of repression and abuse against the indigenous citizens, and participation in security practices targeting unarmed civilians. What is happening today in terms of military integration between the Al Khalifa regime and the UAE is a continuation of the same repressive approach, making this presence now an active military actor against the Islamic Republic.
The “Bahrain Operations Room,” while emphasizing its absolute rejection of all forms of foreign military presence on Bahraini soil—whether American, Emirati, Zionist, or otherwise—warns against the involvement of armed forces affiliated with the Al Khalifa regime or other Gulf regimes in the American–Zionist war against the Islamic Republic, which would make their camps legitimate targets.
We reaffirm that the only path to safety is the complete removal of all foreign military presence and keeping the country away from circles of conflict that bring nothing but hardship to the people of Bahrain.
