Statement: Strong Turnout on the Fifteenth Anniversary of the Revolution Confirms Its Deep Roots in the People’s Conscience
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
A salute of pride and reverence is extended by the February 14 Youth Coalition to the proud people of Bahrain, to all demonstrators and revolutionaries who answered the call of dignity and took to Bahrain’s streets and squares today, on the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of the glorious February Revolution. They renew their pledge and affirm that the spirit of the revolution remains alive and beating in the conscience of this steadfast people.
We also commend the conscious role of the rising revolutionary generation, whose presence was clearly reflected in the movement, expressing its stance with courage and responsibility, and carrying the banner of awareness and steadfastness alongside the generation of resilience.
On this day, as we commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of our blessed revolution, we affirm the following:
First: This broad popular participation across Bahrain’s regions proves that the causes behind the outbreak of the February 14 Revolution still exist—indeed, they have intensified and multiplied—especially following the crime of normalization with the Zionist entity. Legitimate national demands have become more urgent amid the spread of corruption, monopolization of wealth, plundering of the country’s resources, and burdening citizens with the weight of financial deficit and public debt, at the expense of their rights to a dignified life, justice, and fairness.
Second: The people of Bahrain have taken to the streets while firmly adhering to peacefulness inspired by the Qur’an as a constant and unwavering approach, grounding their movement in the values of justice and dignity derived from Islamic governance. Their revolution has thus been among the purest revolutions of our time—pure in its objectives and honorable in its course—despite facing the most brutal forms of repression, killing, and persecution. Yet repression has only strengthened their resolve, and sacrifices have not broken their will; rather, they have increased their determination to obtain their legitimate rights to freedom, dignity, and to determine their political, economic, and social future.
Third: We renew our pledge to the martyrs, prisoners of conscience, the wounded, the persecuted, and the exiled, that we will not retreat even an inch from the covenant written in blood and sacrifice. We will continue steadily under the banner of the jurist-leader, Sheikh Isa Qassim (may God protect him), remaining firm on this path and moving forward regardless of how long it takes or how great the challenges become. The path of truth only increases us in patience and steadfastness, and there is no place in it for despair or retreat. We remain certain of God’s support and victory, and that relief is near, and that victory is coming by God’s permission: “Victory comes only from God.”
In conclusion, the strong turnout on this pivotal anniversary, after fifteen years of steadfastness, affirms an established truth: a revolution deeply rooted in the conscience of its people does not fade, and the will of steadfastness is stronger than all attempts at suppression.
We will remain faithful to our pledge, firm on our path, and committed to our legitimate rights until the night of oppression fades and the dawn of freedom and justice rises over a homeland worthy of life with dignity and sovereignty.
