Statement by the Jurist Leader Qassim on the Occasion of the Birth of Imam al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and the Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran

The jurist leader, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, issued a statement on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hujjah al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his noble reappearance) and the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The text of the statement is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,

and peace and blessings be upon the most noble of messengers, Muhammad, and his pure and immaculate family.

The blessed day of the birth of the awaited divine leader, the savior destined to rescue the noble Islamic nation and dignified humanity from all filth, corruption, ignorance, tyranny, backwardness, fragmentation, the domination of the arrogant powers, and the corruption of the corrupt—this day powerfully revives within us the sacred duty of allegiance to the Awaited Rising Imam (peace be upon him), and the obligation of preparation in all dimensions for the Day of the Great Victory. It calls for readiness to sacrifice everything precious and insignificant alike before him, in the cause of Allah, to purify the earth and elevate the Word of Allah upon it—thus delivering its people from all that obstructs the movement toward perfection, transcendence, maturity, guidance, strength, and complete attachment to the mercy of Allah, which leaves no barrier for its followers from eternal happiness, everlasting bliss, and contentment in this worldly life.

Proceed along the path of cultivating a pure and strong soul, and forging a powerful and striking external force, whose sole aim is the reform of the land and the people, seeking thereby the pleasure of Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.

Indeed, the anniversary of the victory of Imam Khomeini’s revolution (may his secret be sanctified) and the establishment of his firm and guiding state provides a great incentive to emulate true allegiance to the Awaited Qa’im (may Allah hasten his reappearance), to remain attached to the Day of his ظهور (appearance), and to draw from that day—its blessings and bounties—the spirit of great momentum on the path of construction and preparation, and the mobilization of all possible means that lead, by the permission of Allah, the Most High, the Almighty, to comprehensive victory.

In emulating Imam Khomeini lie such noble, abundant, and effective outcomes.

It suffices to recognize even a part of the immense responsibilities and profound positive transformation associated with the Great Day of Appearance—bringing happiness to people in both their worldly life and the Hereafter—for it to deserve being the central focus of our lives, given its exalted status with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and the honorable closeness it grants to Him.

The Day of Appearance constitutes a binding proof upon every Muslim, obligating preparation for the Day of the Appearance and the leadership of the Awaited Imam (peace be upon him), as demonstrated by the Islamic Revolution of Imam Khomeini and his exemplary leadership of a sincere, competent, devoted, and capable Islamic revolution; by the righteous, salvific state it established; and by its exemplary leadership today under Imam Khamenei (may Allah prolong his noble and blessed life).
