Weekly Event (Friday – 23 January 2026): The Tyrant Hamad Joins Trump’s Council: A Gathering of Criminals and Cross-Border Thuggery
On 20 January 2026, the authorities in Bahrain announced that the tyrant Hamad had agreed to join what is called the “Peace Council,” established by U.S. President Donald Trump to administer the second phase of the “aggression” against Gaza.
Hamad’s approval preceded a joint statement by eight Arab states, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, announcing their accession to the council, which observers consider a more advanced form of savage imperialism.
Trump signed the charter of the so-called “Peace Council” on Thursday, 22 January, in Davos, stating that the council is a “body” tasked with resolving international disputes.
This further confirmed the opposing positions toward the council, viewing it as a council of criminals and tyrants subservient to U.S. hegemony, particularly given the presence of the criminal Netanyahu among its members.
Observers stated that the alleged “Peace Council” represents an evolution of a transnational colonial mandate system and a response to American and Zionist ambitions to subjugate the world through the imposition of the law of the jungle, repression, and brute thuggery. Consequently, analysts have described Trump’s colonial council as an alternative grouping intended to replace the United Nations and the international charters and norms established after the Second World War.
Analysts also noted that the unprecedented aggressive behavior pursued by Trump and Netanyahu ushers in a new phase of international thuggery, especially in light of their repeated announcements rejecting the decisions of United Nations institutions and openly disregarding them.
From Where Will Hamad Pay One Billion Dollars to Trump?!
The tyrant Hamad—following Mohammed bin Zayed—was among the first to rush into joining the council that Trump claims is meant to bring about peace in Gaza and the region.
On 17 January, Trump extended an invitation to Hamad to join the council, and Hamad’s positive response came the very next day, at a time when citizens were objecting to this decision, demanding that it be subjected to a vote by the people and their genuine representatives, and expressing fears of potential financial squandering due to the obligation imposed on council members to pay one billion dollars.
This is in addition to the continued violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and its entanglement in alliances hostile to the nation and its legitimate rights—a course adopted by the tyrant Hamad after signing the normalization agreement in September 2020, in defiance of the people of Bahrain, who demonstrate daily to demand the annulment of the agreement and withdrawal from alliances managed by American arrogance.
