🔶️🔷️ Statement by the Prisoners of Jau Central Prison on the Withdrawal of “Mr. Abdulwahab Hussain” from Mediation
🔻The prisoners of Jau Central Prison issued a statement regarding the withdrawal of “Mr. Abdulwahab Hussain” from mediation with the prison administration, and the latest developments there. The text reads as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
🔷️The prisoners engaged with full positivity with the movements and efforts undertaken by the mujahid Mr. Abdulwahab Hussain during the previous phase, for which we extend our thanks to our professor for assuming this responsibility. However, the regime is determined to renege, retreat, provoke problems, and fabricate them, which compelled the professor to withdraw completely from the mediation. This, in turn, pushes the prisoners’ movement into a new phase and a dark tunnel.
🔶️Today, the prison is on a knife’s edge: between the safety of the mujahid Mr. Hassan Mushaima, the attempts at humiliation to which young prisoners are subjected, and the regime’s intention to also target Buildings 5 and 12 with further restrictions; and amid all of this, the procrastination in implementing a comprehensive release of all prisoners. The coming days will therefore witness either the dominance of the language of reason—leading to an end to this tension—or attempts to humiliate the prisoners and violate their dignity, which the prisoners will confront with a sacrificial spirit imposed upon them by religion, reason, and humanity.
🔷️The solution to the prisoners’ issue has not been, and will not be, through releases carried out in a drip-feed manner and under the label of open prisons or alternative sentences.
🔶️The security solution to the prison situation has not been, and will not be, effective, and the experience of the past years is the best witness.
