Event of the Week (Friday – 28 November 2025):
The “Qadha 2” Program Competes in Draining State Resources… and Feeding the Obsession of Khalid and Nasser
The so-called Royal Guard Command in Bahrain has launched the “Qadha 2” program under the supervision of the tyrant’s son, Khalid Hamad. The program is promoted as part of the regime’s narrative aimed at glorifying security and military personnel and providing misleading propaganda about loyalty to the military apparatus.
“Qadha 2” focuses on physical training within an atmosphere of military-style challenges, featuring fabricated field tasks that demand physical and psychological effort. It comes within a broader package of official initiatives seeking to manufacture a false image of loyalty and patriotism, centered around allegiance to the Al Khalifa tribe—specifically its security and military wing—while showcasing this wing through exaggerated propaganda meant to suggest mythical strength and pure national dedication.
All of this comes within the larger effort to undermine the principle of loyalty to the homeland and the demand for establishing a constitutional state that includes everyone and is not monopolized by a corrupt ruling tribe.
Activists affirm that the program is inseparable from the regime’s central project, which seeks to program public consciousness through systematic propaganda that aims to integrate the military and security leaders into the social fabric, conceal their involvement in repression and torture, and obscure their links to foreign powers on one hand and extremist sectarian tendencies on the other.
The second season of “Qadha” further exposes the regime’s intensified use of tools to distort public awareness in Bahrain. For this reason, it was broadcast for free on one of the platforms starting 13 November 2025.
The program is associated with Khalid, who faces accusations of promoting drugs, spreading corruption among school students, and possessing a record of torturing prisoners.
This path also places Khalid in competition with his brother Nasser, who is likewise known for his adolescent-like tendency to fabricate heroics and promote his tribe’s false claims about “loyalty to the homeland.”
With financial costs estimated in the millions of dollars, the program serves to satisfy the obsession of both Khalid and Nasser with organizing sports programs and competitions, and appearing as “historic champions,” at the expense of the state budget—at a time when citizens, especially the youth, are suffering from severe hardship in terms of livelihood and living conditions.
