Weekly Position Statement: The Tyrant Hamad Bears Full Responsibility for the Assassination of the Martyr “Abdullah Hassan”… and the Wave of Repression Will Not Intimidate the People
Issued by the Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition.
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Khalifi entity in Bahrain is waging a new wave of intimidation and repression following the funeral of the son of Shahrakan — the witness and martyr Abdullah Hassan Yusuf. Citizens from various regions of the country have been arrested for participating in his funeral and for demanding the truth about what happened since the sea incident on October 20, 2025.
We warn of the need to foil this new campaign of intimidation, as it is an attempt to conceal the crime and cover up the real perpetrators. This repression only confirms the weakness and instability of the regime in the face of the masses of mourners and their resounding chants. We call on everyone not to be swayed by approaches that seek to frighten citizens from exercising their right to condemn the crime and those behind it — foremost among them the tyrant Hamad. The revolutionary slogans raised by the mourners against the tyrant were neither emotional outbursts nor temporary expressions of grief; rather, they reflect a firm national and faith-based stance in confronting the collapse of justice, sovereignty, and citizenship caused by the corruption, tyranny, and subservience of Al Khalifa to the Americans and Zionists.
In this regard, we record the following main points in this week’s statement:
—
1.
We urge everyone to uphold honesty, integrity, and clarity in examining the tragic situation in the country and to adopt a precise national position regarding the ongoing catastrophes. People must not — knowingly or unknowingly — become an echo of the malicious plan aimed at making citizens regret the February 14 Revolution by distorting its noble goals and historic achievements. Attempts are underway to frighten people from remaining loyal to the path of the revolution’s leaders and martyrs, using deceptive slogans such as “self-preservation,” “changing political thinking,” or “avoiding past mistakes.” Meanwhile, the real criminal — who continues to commit atrocities and mock the people, their rights, dignity, and lives — is deliberately overlooked.

2.
Regarding the assassination of Abdullah Hassan, we hold the tyrant Hamad directly responsible for it, as with every crime committed in this country since he illegitimately seized power. This responsibility is supported by facts, testimonies, and international legal principles.
We emphasize that this latest crime is part of a continuous pattern of disregard for the lives of citizens. The Khalifi occupiers have persistently demonstrated their contempt for the native people’s lives, livelihoods, and means of sustenance. The martyrdom of Shahrakan’s son has reopened a dark chapter in Bahrain’s history — when the Khalifis repeatedly invaded the island from its coasts, seized its lands, and plundered its resources, committing crimes akin to those of the Zionist Haganah gangs in occupied Palestine in 1948.
Therefore, this crime is neither isolated nor individual; it is inseparable from the tyrant’s nature and that of his clique. It is part of a bloody colonial project that will only end when the head of this evil is severed and justice restored to the rightful people of the land.

3.
We call for solidarity with the honorable citizens abducted by Al Khalifa’s mercenaries after the funeral of the martyr Abdullah, while maintaining focus on uncovering the truth behind the crime. Imprisonment, intimidation, and arbitrary arrests are the Khalifis’ habitual tools to escape accountability, create confusion, and spread chaos — believing that arrogance and brutality can subdue the people.
However, the February 14 Revolution, whose anniversary will be commemorated in four months, has firmly established the slogan:
> “Wounded we may be, but we never bow.”
More repression only strengthens the people’s determination and vitality. The funeral of Martyr Abdullah proved that the flame of the revolution will never be extinguished, and that successive generations will carry it forward, preserving its legacy and continuing the struggle until justice, freedom, and full citizenship are achieved.

4.
We reaffirm our support for the imprisoned movement in Bahrain as it continues its protest under the slogan “Our Right Is Firm.” The sectarian assaults inside prison by ISIS-like mercenaries, under the orders of the so-called “Minister of Terror” Rashid Al Khalifa, reflect the regime’s ongoing war against the people’s religious and national identity.
These sectarian violations will not divert the prisoners’ movement from its just demands — foremost among them, complete and unconditional freedom. We trust in the wisdom, faith, and steadfastness of the heroic detainees, who will thwart the Khalifis’ attempts to sow division among them. Our renewed confidence also lies with the prisoners’ patient and resilient families, who carry their loved ones’ just cause and embody the conscience of all Bahrainis — a people who will never abandon them until hearts and eyes are comforted by their freedom.

5.
The so-called “National Institution for Human Rights” (NIHR) has celebrated its 16th anniversary — a disgraceful milestone marked by years of false testimony and covering up regime violations. Independent international bodies have confirmed that this institution and others like it are mere fronts for the regime, designed to whitewash its human rights record and conceal its abuses.
Although some well-intentioned individuals believe that engagement with such bodies can help expose violations, this outlook is fundamentally flawed. The genuine mission of any human rights movement must be to win back the people’s full rights — without favor or compromise — and to establish justice and equality without discrimination. This goal cannot be achieved by strengthening institutions that beautify oppression, legalize tyranny, and reinforce the tribal “state” of decrees and councils at the expense of building a constitutional, just, and popular government.
