February 14 Youth Revolution Coalition Mourns the Young Man “Abdullah Hassan Yusuf”: He Departed as a Martyr and a Witness

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

With hearts filled with sorrow and grief, the people of Bahrain received the news of the discovery of the body of the young man Abdullah Hassan Yusuf in the territorial waters of the State of Qatar, after days of loss and anguish endured by his family and by all the people of Bahrain. This came as a result of a horrific incident caused by the Coast Guard—another crime added to the long series of atrocities committed by the Khalifi regime against the sons of this nation.

This tragic ending leaves no doubt that the Khalifi regime bears full responsibility for the crime that befell the Bahraini fishermen’s boat, following the brutal assault carried out by the Coast Guard command against innocent citizens who had gone out to sea in search of their livelihood, only to encounter treachery and the regime’s reckless disregard for human life instead of safety.

The young man Abdullah Hassan Yusuf embarked on his journey alongside his companions in a noble struggle to earn a living, driven by the harsh living conditions imposed by political naturalization and exclusionary policies that have rendered the native Bahraini a stranger in his own homeland. He departed this life as a martyr and a witness to injustice—to the crimes of a regime that has shown neither respect for human dignity nor sanctity for life. He stood as a symbol of perseverance, hard work, and honor, and as a reflection of the suffering endured by the steadfast people of this nation.

The discovery of the young man’s body in Qatari waters stands as further proof of the Khalifi regime’s negligence and abandonment of its duty to search and rescue, and of its attempt to cover up its crime through false narratives and manipulated footage that failed to conceal the truth, which has now become clear to all.

We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family and loved ones of the young man, and we ask Almighty Allah to grant them patience and solace.

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.
