Weekly Event (Friday – October 31, 2025): “Manama Dialogue” — A Platform for Normalization and Colonial Management

The latest edition of the so-called “Manama Dialogue” was launched in Manama on Friday, October 31, 2025. The forum has been organized in Bahrain under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2004, through the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) based in London—an institution known for its close ties to British and international intelligence agencies.

Since its inception, the Manama Dialogue has served as one of the intelligence fronts for managing regional and international files in line with British and American interests. It has also been a venue for promoting Western and Zionist policies, forming alliances hostile to the nation’s causes and legitimate struggles. Notably, the forum has played a major role in accelerating normalization with the occupying Zionist entity, especially in its early years, as it witnessed the participation of high-level Israeli security figures.

Although such participation has seemingly declined in recent years for security reasons, Israel’s involvement continues through indirect and deceptive means, as seen in the current edition, which featured the attendance of Jason Isaacson, head of the American Jewish Committee, who was received by Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al-Zayani at the opening of the conference.

Over the years, the Manama Dialogue has addressed key issues and crises in regional and international relations, consistently hosting senior officials from concerned countries to present these matters through a British-American lens. This year, the conference is held under the theme “Regional Power and the Art of Governance Amid Global Change.” It is expected to host figures from neighboring countries that have witnessed major upheavals, such as Syria, with closed-door meetings planned to forge agreements and understandings under full colonial supervision.

Observers note that the Al Khalifa regime has become increasingly reliant on organizing such platforms and hosting influential meetings, as this has become a core component of its functional role, particularly following the signing of normalization agreements.
