In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The incident of the missing young man Abdullah Hassan Yusuf has once again revealed the true nature of the Al Khalifa regime’s relationship with the people of Bahrain. This criminal clique never ceases to impose oppression and deprivation upon the people, reflecting its persistence in enforcing the laws of servitude and the rule of a primitive tribal tyranny.
While our people have, for decades, struggled to end the enslavement imposed by the invading tribe, a tight alliance between this tribe and the powers of domination and colonialism has stood in the way of every national and popular struggle seeking to establish a just state. The latest example was the February 14, 2011 Revolution, when the Americans and the British gave the Saudis the green light to send their armies to support the Al Khalifa mercenaries in suppressing the revolution and brutalizing the people of Bahrain.
On this occasion, we record the following points in our weekly position:
—
1. The people of Bahrain have expressed profound anger following the disappearance of young Abdullah at sea, after the fishing boat he was on — along with others seeking a livelihood — was attacked. This public outrage reflects a deep reservoir of frustration and resentment toward the injustice and deprivation that have engulfed the nation. Day after day, citizens find themselves encircled by poverty, discrimination, and waves of naturalized foreigners, while the tyrant’s son Salman continues to boast of his so-called “development plans,” social housing schemes, and false claims of creating thousands of jobs for the unemployed registered with the Ministry of Labor.
—
2. We are not surprised by the Al Khalifa regime’s disregard for the lives of Bahrainis and their youth, for they have never — at any point in history — belonged to this people or this land. Since their savage hordes first set foot on this soil, they have pursued a policy of plundering, subjugation, and forced allegiance under a system of servitude. Despite the atrocities committed by these invaders, our people have steadfastly defended their existence, their land, their faith, and their honor — rising time and again against the Khalifi occupation and its British patron, and offering immense sacrifices for sovereignty, freedom, and dignity. The regime’s negligence toward the fate of this young man, its concealment of the truth, and its intimidation of those showing solidarity with his anxious family are all typical behaviors of an occupying entity steeped in terrorism and deceit — one that harbors deep-seated hostility toward this proud nation that refuses humiliation and subjugation under a colonial tribe.
—
3. The struggle to earn an honest living has itself become one of the crimes forced upon the people by this corrupt clique occupying Bahrain. Native citizens are compelled to journey far and wide in search of sustenance, exposing themselves and their families to the hardships of exile and the dangers of travel. Meanwhile, the Al Khalifa offspring monopolize positions and wealth, distributing them among sycophants and mercenaries, squandering the nation’s resources on their entertainment, empty competitions, and debauched pleasures — all to feed their psychological insecurities and compensate for their utter lack of dignity and sovereignty.
—
4. The sweat and labor of Bahrain’s working class, striving for honest bread and the right to live with dignity, represent one of the noblest battles our people continue to fight tirelessly — without compromise or submission for crumbs offered in exchange for loyalty to the corrupt. The struggle for social justice and dignified living is inseparable from the broader fight for political rights and the establishment of a just constitutional system. These injustices are the direct result of the Al Khalifa princes’ domination over the state and its institutions, turning them into private estates for mafias and dividing the spoils among mercenaries, flatterers, and naturalized dependents.
—
5. The volatile reality in the country — particularly amid escalating protests inside prisons following the announcement by the captive movement of a new phase of struggle for the unconditional freedom of all prisoners, and in light of the grave erosion of national sovereignty due to the Al Khalifa regime’s submission to Zionist and American control — calls once again for bold, advanced steps from all national forces in Bahrain. It is time to respond to the people’s call to revive the national movement through a unifying national initiative that defends the just demands of the people, foremost among them the establishment of a just constitutional state.
