Weekly Statement: The Will of the Prisoners and the People of Bahrain Will Defeat the Regime’s Repression and Blackmail — Everyone Bears Responsibility for Regaining the Initiative

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Revolution Coalition renews its full support for the prisoners’ movement in Bahrain’s prisons and affirms its practical solidarity with the new protest campaign led by the political prisoners under the slogan “Our Right Is Firm.” The Council stresses that the issue of the prisoners will remain open, in all its human and rights dimensions, regardless of the Khalifi entity’s continued use of it as a tool to usurp the political and religious rights of the people of Bahrain and to blackmail families and national leaders.
The tyrant Hamad and his oppressive aides must realize that their wager on breaking the will of the people and their beloved prisoners of conscience is a losing one — it will only bring them disappointment. The detained leaders and the disappeared prisoners will remain steadfast in holding on to their legitimate and unconditional right to full freedom, and the loyal people will never abandon them. The people’s strong and resonant voice will continue to echo in every square and street.

In this weekly statement, we emphasize the following points:
1. The prisoners’ movement in Bahrain is part of and a result of a greater and fundamental struggle — the fight to reclaim political rights and to protect the religious and cultural existence of the people of Bahrain. All the deceptive tactics employed by the Al Khalifa regime — with British and American advice and management — to dilute the prison issue will fail. They will not succeed in breaking the prisoners’ steadfastness or in pushing the opposition toward cheap compromises. Our confidence in this comes from the prisoners themselves — from their awareness and firm understanding of the nature of the struggle against this usurping, treacherous regime. They know that liberation from it is the prerequisite for achieving a comprehensive solution that frees both the land and its people.
2. The continued protests and uprisings inside the prisons over the years of the glorious February 14 Revolution prove that the flame of the revolution has not been extinguished by deceitful propaganda or hollow political maneuvers — nor will it ever be. Just as the policy of repression and iron rule failed to force the people into submission, as the criminal Al Saud regime desired, the attempts to blackmail the people through attacks on their faith, symbols, and leaders, and through the imprisonment of their sons, will only end in disgrace for the Khalifis. Their crimes and deep-seated hostility toward the indigenous people will be exposed. The oppressors should expect the volcano to erupt at any time, from where they least expect it.
3. We condemn the theatrical act staged by the Zionist-aligned Salman Al Khalifa, son of the tyrant, regarding supposed “job opportunities” for the unemployed. This is yet another familiar propaganda ploy from the Al Khalifa regime — one that refuses to acknowledge citizens’ equal and full right to a dignified life, decent housing, and participation in governance. They manage the country’s affairs and wealth as conquerors distributing spoils, bestowing crumbs upon the native people as favors or “royal gifts.” The widespread unemployment, deprivation of adequate housing, and humiliation of citizens are all natural results of the octopus of corruption, plunder, nepotism, discrimination, and mass naturalization that has suffocated the country — particularly since the rise of the tyrant Hamad. There can be no salvation from these ills except by severing the arms of this corrupt system and ending the vile, sectarian tribal rule in Bahrain.
4. The tyrant Hamad’s deliberate reception of the new Zionist ambassador, Shmuel Revel, in his palace in Al-Safriya, is yet another blatant display of his subservience to the Zionists and Americans, and a disgusting expression of his hostility toward the people — a people who have been taking to the streets for over two years in solidarity with Gaza and its resistance, in support of the resistance fronts in Lebanon and Yemen, and in demand of closing the Zionist embassy and ending normalization agreements. This behavior is unsurprising from a tyrant who seeks to revive the bloody legacy of his criminal forefathers who invaded Bahrain, spilled blood, violated sanctities, and found their survival in dependency on foreign powers to protect their unjust rule. They have always been subservient to criminal tribes and colonial forces — and today they remain submissive and degraded under the Zionist-American system of extermination, savagery, and moral decay.
5. The opposition forces and national popular movements bear a historic responsibility amid the serious challenges and dangers facing everyone, both internally and externally. We are all urgently called upon to play complementary roles in managing the ongoing struggle on human rights, political, and sovereignty fronts — to regain the initiative, to draw practical lessons, to evaluate and rebuild, and to renew the tools of national struggle and legitimate resistance. This must always stem from the unwavering compass: the refusal to compromise on the right to overthrow the system of corruption, tyranny, and treason, and the resolve to establish a just constitutional system that safeguards the people’s rights, sovereignty, and national, religious, and Arab principles.
