Bahraini Prisoners in Building 12: We Have Entered an Open Hunger Strike
The political prisoners in Building 12 of Jau Central Prison have announced that they have entered an open hunger strike, demanding their unconditional freedom. Their statement reads as follows:
—
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
As of today, we have entered an open hunger strike in order to seize our full and unconditional freedom. After having previously returned our breakfast and dinner meals, we now return the lunch meal as well.
Let our bodies weaken, but let our demand for freedom rise higher.
Let our strength fade, but let the “Our Right is Firm” campaign grow stronger and broader.
Our reliance, after Almighty God, is on our noble and dignified people for honorable support.
We will continue escalating our steps, and God is the best supporter and guide.
