The political prisoners send their first message to the people of Bahrain as part of the “Our Right is Firm” campaign
The political prisoners in Jau Central Prison have sent their first message to the people of Bahrain as part of the “Our Right is Firm” campaign.
They stated that this message comes from inside the prison cells where they have spent many long years, enduring the harshest forms of torture and abuse—all because they demanded political will and the dignity of the people.
The political prisoners added:
“O our dear people, whom we love and who love us, the regime will never release us. It wants the prison to be our place of life and death—unless there are tools that pressure it and force it to change this reality.”
They expressed their firm faith and trust in God that through their movement from inside the prison, along with the people’s sincere and continuous support, they can change this situation, and that this struggle will soon culminate in a reunion.
The political prisoners proposed a series of popular activities in support of their campaign “Our Right is Firm,” including: organizing marches, sit-ins, and other protest movements; holding religious gatherings; visiting the families of detainees; spreading media materials related to the campaign; discussing the prisoners’ cause in every gathering; and encouraging the people to devise and participate in effective pressure tactics.
