Prisoners of Jaw Central Prison call for a “Friday of Prayer, Word, and Outcry”
The political detainees in Jaw Prison (Building 12) have issued a second statement following the launch of the “Our Right is Firm” campaign, calling for a “Friday of Prayer, Word, and Outcry.” The statement reads:
—
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The cause of the prisoners is one of the people’s most urgent causes, for they were imprisoned only because they demanded the people’s rights, dignity, and the restoration of their right to self-determination.
Everything happening today — the continued unjust imprisonment — is an act of punishment, repression, and revenge against the people themselves. Moreover, keeping them imprisoned despite the people’s calls for their freedom is an act of contempt as well.
Remaining silent about their right to freedom is the same as being silent about one’s own right — and that is not what is expected.
Since our people are known for their faith and sense of honor, they are called upon to take a clear, serious, and continuous stand regarding this cause.
In this regard, we call for the upcoming Friday, October 10, 2025, to be declared the “Friday of Prayer, Word, and Outcry.”
Friday of Prayer: through gatherings for the collective Duʿāʾ al-Nudba (Supplication of Lamentation).
Friday of Word: through the Friday sermons in mosques across Bahrain.
Friday of Outcry: through peaceful marches and demonstrations in the fields of solidarity.
We are with you, our people, and you are with us — together we move forward in increasing steps toward achieving freedom.
So be ready and present this coming Friday.
