Anniversary of the Opening of the Zionist Embassy in Bahrain: A Cry Against Normalization and Betrayal of the Homeland
As the ominous anniversary of the opening of the Zionist embassy in Bahrain approaches on September 30, memories resurface of those painful images from a day that witnessed a grave betrayal—a day when Bahrain’s doors were opened to welcome the forces of Zionist occupation, selling the nation’s sovereignty and the people’s dignity at the cheapest price. This bitter treason is but another addition to the series of crimes committed by the Khalifi regime against the country and its people.
Normalization with the Zionist entity, which clearly demonstrates the Khalifi regime’s departure from the circle of Arab identity, affirms total surrender to agendas that serve nothing but occupiers and invaders. This surrender is nothing more than sinking into a swamp that contradicts all the values and principles for which the proud people of Bahrain are known—values of freedom, sovereignty, and dignity.
Today, more than ever before, the voice of the Bahraini people rises across all corners of the nation, demanding the closure of that Zionist embassy—which represents nothing but betrayal and disgrace—and the expulsion of its ambassador, as the minimum steps that can be taken to wash away the shame of normalization. The demands are clear and unequivocal: the cancellation of all normalization agreements, which have brought nothing but humiliation and degradation.
Bahrain’s story with struggle and resistance is long, but this dark page added to it will not be accepted easily, nor will it pass without leaving behind an earthquake of rejection shaking the very foundations of the country. For the Bahraini people, who have always stood by Palestine and its just cause, will never abandon their dignity and their history of resistance in confronting injustice and occupation.
Yes, they may attempt to impose a new reality, but it is the peoples who make history, and the strength and steadfast will of the Bahraini people will remain an impregnable fortress against all attempts at colonialism and normalization. Proud Bahrain, with its noble people, will never allow itself to be a marketplace for those who trade in the causes of the nation and the future of its generations.
On this day, we renew our pledge to the martyrs of freedom and sovereignty, and we reaffirm our absolute rejection of any form of normalization with the Zionist entity. Bahrain, every grain of its soil, deserves from us all to stand as one in the face of any challenges targeting its sovereignty and dignity.
