Weekly Statement: The People of Bahrain Renew Their Pledge and Loyalty to the Resistance and Its Leaders on the First Anniversary of the Martyrdom of the Supreme Martyr
The Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition issued its weekly statement, as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of the approaching first anniversary of the ascension of the Leader of the Nation’s Martyrs, “the Supreme Martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and the Hashemite Martyr Sayyid Hashim Safi Al-Din (may God be pleased with them)”, the Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition renews its pledge and loyalty to the path of resistance and liberation that the pure blood of these leaders has nourished.
We call upon our people to actively participate in the commemorative programs inside and outside Bahrain, affirming our continuation along the path of the martyrs’ guidance and their school of resistance and dignity, and to demonstrate loyalty to their great sacrifices and the role they played in preserving the resistance, upholding the dignity of peoples, and maintaining steadfastness in the face of aggression projects and schemes aimed at spreading despair and defeat among the resistance’s supporters. Among these supporters is our steadfast people in Bahrain, who have not wavered, nor changed their path and choice despite siege and abandonment. They remain present in squares and fields without interruption, raising in one hand their legitimate right to self-determination, and in the other hand the torch of resistance, confronting the Zionist-American project.
In light of current developments and ongoing events, we highlight the following points:
1. Our people in Bahrain registered an early presence in commemorating the first anniversary of the passing of the Leader of the Nation’s Martyrs and the Hashemite Martyr. Citizens took to the streets across the country two days ago, holding photos of the two great martyrs and chanting slogans in support of the resistance in Lebanon and Gaza. This living scene sends, firstly, a message to the Al Khalifa regime that they are an occupying minority in Bahrain with no real connection to its authentic people and their values of freedom, justice, and liberation. Secondly, it sends a message to the domination forces occupying Bahrain and regional states with bases, security agreements, and espionage networks that our people will not surrender to the plan of humiliating the nation and subjecting it to the Zionist-American project. Our people’s choice remains clear: allegiance to the resistance and its honorable axis.
2. The relationship of our people in Bahrain with the Leader of the Nation’s Martyrs and the path of resistance is authentic and solid, stemming from shared awareness, faith, and values of honor and dignity. Throughout all regional circumstances, the Supreme Martyr was a beacon for our people in confronting hardships, choosing the right path, and navigating major risks. To affirm this special relationship and its significant impact on managing the conflict in Bahrain, the Political Council will launch, as part of this year’s commemorative programs, a book documenting all speeches and positions in which the Supreme Martyr addressed Bahrain, from the start of its revolution in 2011 until January 2024. We hope this publication will serve as the beginning of an expanded research and documentation effort to preserve the Supreme Martyr’s legacy and guidance.
3. We renew our salute and appreciation to our people in Bahrain for continuing the popular front of support for the resistance in Gaza and confronting the starvation and annihilation of its people. We especially express our great pride in those participating from Bahrain in the Freedom Flotilla heading towards the besieged shores of Gaza, alongside popular and national presence across towns and villages, who uphold the slogan “Death to America, Death to Israel”—as an expression of confronting the Zionist entity and its American sponsor, insisting on rejecting normalization, and continuing pressure until the country is cleansed of the Zionist espionage embassy. Bahrain’s support front is an extension of other fronts, from Great Yemen to Jordan, where the heroic martyr Abdul Muttalib Al-Qaisi renewed Arab honor with his heroic operation on the borders with occupied Palestine, calling on the peoples to unite on the path of liberating Palestine and confronting the occupying Zionists.
4. We express our support for the phased options announced by the leadership of the resistance in Lebanon, represented by the competent Secretary-General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, emphasizing in particular the wise approach of the resistance regarding developments after the Zionist aggression on the State of Qatar. We note that the message sent by His Eminence to the Saudi entity is similar to the message the Supreme Martyr sent to the late Saddam regime prior to the U.S. occupation of Iraq in 2003. This indicates that his message (may God protect him) is based on the necessity of uniting the peoples of the resistance, consolidating the ranks of the entire nation, fostering cohesion and mutual support in the face of the Zionist-American project, which has become clearer and more dangerous to all. Negotiation methods, normalization agreements, and “peace” or “two-state solution” conferences are ineffective in confronting it. In this context, we also commend the words of leader Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi on the anniversary of the September 21 Revolution, calling on the Al Saud to stop conspiring against the resistance and Gaza support fronts, and to take heed of current events before it is too late.
