Weekly Statement: Al Khalifa Continue Their Plans to Erase National Identity and Religious Belonging… And Everyone Must Bear Responsibility Before God and Future Generations
Issued by the Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition, the weekly statement reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
On the occasion of the anniversary of the passing of the savior of humanity, the Greatest Messenger Muhammad ibn Abdullah (peace be upon him), the Political Council of the February 14 Youth Coalition extends its condolences to all Muslims worldwide, to the presence of the Awaited One (may Allah hasten his reappearance), and to his rightful deputies, especially to the Guardian of the Muslims, Sayyed Leader Ali Khamenei (may his shadow last).
On this sorrowful anniversary, we call upon the Ummah to reclaim its great glory and eternal mission, and to adhere to the will of the Master of Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon him). The Ummah must fulfill its missionary role of enjoining good and forbidding evil, and not submit to the idols of arrogant tyrants and criminals. It must hold firmly to the strong rope of Allah and cling to the two weighty things (the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt), establishing a state of justice and dignity, and supporting the oppressed and downtrodden everywhere.
On this occasion, the weekly statement records the following points:
1. On the anniversary of the passing of the Prophet of Mercy Muhammad (peace be upon him), we address the Muslim Ummah today, urging it to return to his values and the objectives of his eternal message. The Ummah must rise against the tyrants of the earth and the forces of evil and corruption, embodied in our era by the American-Zionist project. The Ummah’s word must unite in extending aid, brotherhood, and support to its vanguard and elite fighters standing on the front lines against this satanic project, especially in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran. The Ummah has a responsibility to protect the resistance fighters and be their strong support, vocal defender, and secure fortress. It must publicly declare that the foreheads of these fighters are their honor and symbol of their dignity, and that any assault on the existence of the resistance and its pure weapon is an assault on the honor, dignity, and Islam of the entire Ummah, without which lives become cheap.
2. The annual anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr falls on August 31, coming at a critical time when the resistance and the entire Ummah face dangerous challenges threatening their entire existence. Therefore, we call upon our dear people — who received the disappeared Imam decades ago in the homes, mosques, and mourning gatherings of Bahrain — and all free peoples worldwide to participate widely and exceptionally in commemorating this anniversary this year, to affirm the culture of resistance planted by Imam al-Sadr in Lebanon and the region. We urge steadfastness on his Muhammadan path in confronting the expansionist Zionist project and supporting Palestine and its honorable resistance until full liberation. We emphasize renewing the pledge to Imam al-Sadr and allegiance to his resistant path by commemorating his immortal words and protecting the weapons of the resistance aimed at confronting the absolute evil represented by the usurping entity. This includes displaying his pictures and words on homes, streets, and walls.
3. We condemn the repeated attempts by the security apparatus of the terrorist Interior Minister “Rashed Al Khalifa” to control Bahrain’s mourning houses, processions, and religious rituals, especially during religious occasions. The suspicious visits made by Rashed’s employees, officers, and mercenaries to mourning houses and processions are malicious and no longer hidden from anyone after the repeated provocative speeches by the criminal Rashed and his direct assaults on the beliefs and sacred rituals of the Bahraini people. This role is unsurprising for an occupying entity founded on enmity and extermination of the people from its inception. These motives have intensified with the exposure of Al Khalifa’s ties to the Zionists and the hegemony projects led by American and global arrogance. The duty upon our faithful people and resisting youth is confirmed to prevent this oppressive gang and worldly officials from hijacking their identity and religion, as His Eminence the Jurist Leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim said, this is one of “the most severe forms of conspiracy against religion.”
4. We warn that the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain continues day and night to tighten its grip on the people’s identity and distort their religious and struggle affiliation by implementing a series of programs and projects targeting files related to popular memory, urban planning, and influencing the orientations of future generations. This includes the “National Archive” project, which is intended to be the cornerstone of the tyrant Hamad’s project to complete erasing the true memory of the people, land, and history, and to implant a fabricated memory revolving around Al Khalifa and their colonial presence in Bahrain. Also involved are projects of the supreme councils for women, youth, and sports, and their associated programs such as “Betting on the Future,” the project to change city and street names, modifying curricula, the gradual confiscation of the independence of places of worship and pulpits. All this aims to achieve the strategic goal of cultural, material, religious, and struggle-based annihilation of the Bahraini people and handing the country over to the hands of colonizers and arrogant powers.
5. We call upon free national pens, owners of websites, platforms, and electronic outlets to urgently mobilize all available energies to archive the true history of Bahrain and its authentic people. Efforts and capabilities must unite to preserve the identity of this country and expose the distortion, forgery, and defamation carried out by Al Khalifa. This is a great national responsibility on the shoulders of individuals, bodies, and institutions. Everyone must cooperate to launch serious and capable projects to assume this religious and national responsibility before it is too late.
