News Report: Activities of the 8th “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition” in Holy Karbala
The administration of the “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition” inaugurated its eighth annual exhibition in Holy Karbala on Saturday, August 9, 2025, as part of the programs of the 1447 AH “Arbaeen Pilgrimage,” commemorating the memory of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the martyrs of the Hussaini path.
As in every year, the exhibition was dedicated to introducing the martyrs of Bahrain who fell at the hands of the Khalifi regime, in addition to sections focusing on the Axis of Resistance, its countries and peoples—especially Palestine—along with a series of speeches and diverse activities.
Throughout its seven days, until Friday, August 15, 2025, the exhibition received dozens of scholars, political figures, Arab and Islamic party delegations, and hundreds of visitors to Abu Abdullah Al-Hussain (peace be upon him).
The opening ceremony was sponsored by the director of Imam Khamenei’s office in Holy Karbala, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Al-Najjar, representing His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Al-Husseini, in the presence of a number of scholars and Arab and Islamic political and cultural elites, including the Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Labor Association (Amal), His Eminence Sheikh Abdullah Al-Saleh.
In the opening speech, the exhibition administration emphasized that it opens this year’s exhibition while the region is witnessing pivotal events, especially regarding the Axis of Resistance, whose leaders and cadres have made great sacrifices in one of the fiercest and most treacherous battles. Meanwhile, steadfast Gaza continues to endure a brutal genocide war that has lasted for about twenty-two months, resulting in thousands of martyrs and widespread destruction. All of this clearly confirms that the Resistance front is united, just as the front of evil is united, regardless of the multiplicity of arenas.
On the second day of the “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition,” the seminary professor His Eminence Sheikh Abdullah Al-Daqqaq and the representative of the office of His Eminence Marja Sheikh Al-Yaqoubi, His Eminence Sheikh Aref Al-Aradi, were hosted in a speech evening addressing “The Gift of Martyrdom and the Issues of the Nation.”
On the third day, the exhibition hosted the representative of Ansar Allah Movement in Iraq, Abu Taha Al-Washli, and several Yemeni activists in a speech evening held in the presence of the martyrs.
On the fourth day, the exhibition welcomed Islamic researchers His Eminence Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Safi and Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khaqani, the head of the Building Center for Studies Mr. Muhammad Al-Yasiri, the head of the Correction Center for Studies Kazem Al-Hajj, and the political affairs researcher Abbas Ghadir Al-Jubouri in a speech evening titled “Martyrdom: The Pillar of Divine Messages.”
On the fifth day, the exhibition hosted one of the wounded victims of the Bayjar massacre in Lebanon, the mujahid Mirza, and the university professor and Islamic activist Yusuf Nihad Abdul Hamid.
The exhibition concluded its speech activities on the sixth day by hosting the Secretary-General of the Sayyid Baqir Al-Sadr Foundation for Studies and the General Supervisor of the Service Brigade, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Al-Asadi, and the Lebanese Islamic researcher His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Sbeiti. There was also a recorded speech by the representative of Imam Khamenei (may his shadow be prolonged) in Iraq, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Al-Husseini.
Alongside the daily speech programs, the exhibition cinema screened a documentary film about Bahraini expatriate martyrs and a film about Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Additionally, the administration of the “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition” distributed a brochure containing prayers for Bahraini prisoners and the Arbaeen visitation, along with medals for the martyrs of Bahrain, to visitors of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) in Holy Karbala. Commemorative shields were also presented to honor the personalities participating in the speech activities.
The exhibition received extensive media coverage from various media outlets and satellite channels that covered the activities of its eighth edition. Visitors expressed their solidarity with the people of Bahrain and affirmed their right to self-determination like other peoples.
In a closing statement on Friday, August 15, 2025, the administration of the “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition” in Holy Karbala thanked Iraq — its religious authority, government, and people — and all participants in the speech program from the Iranian Revolution — represented by Imam Khamenei’s office (may his shadow be prolonged) — from Resistance Lebanon, patient Iraq, steadfast Yemen, and all visitors who came from various Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the unknown soldiers who worked diligently and faithfully to ensure the success of the exhibition. They renewed their pledge to the righteous martyrs of Bahrain and all martyrs of the Axis of Resistance to remain loyal to their blood and steadfast on their path.
They also affirmed the people of Bahrain’s unwavering support for Gaza and rejection of normalization with the criminal Zionists.
It is noteworthy that the “Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition” is held annually in Karbala in conjunction with the Arbaeen pilgrimage. It serves as a platform to highlight the reality of what is happening in the Bahraini arena since the outbreak of the February 14 Revolution in 2011, receiving thousands of visitors to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) who express their solidarity with the Bahraini people and support their revolutionary choice until self-determination is achieved.
