Arrest of a Boy from the Courtroom
The Khalifi regime arrested the boy Jawad Hussein (from Sanabis) from the courtroom after an unjust judicial ruling sentencing him to six months in prison on political grounds.
It is worth noting that the organization “Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain” published a report on ongoing arrests and human rights violations against children in Bahrain, particularly those related to freedom of expression and assembly. The report confirmed that the regime continues to target minors through arbitrary arrest campaigns linked to peaceful protests, most of which occur without judicial warrants. These actions aim to silence political opposition and support causes such as the Palestinian issue. Detainees face prolonged detention without charges, coerced confessions, deprivation of legal rights, enforced disappearance, extraction of confessions under threat and torture, failure to present detainees before a judge within 24 hours, trial delays, and denial of visitation and communication with their lawyers.
The report also addressed documented violations in Dry Dock Prison, including torture and harsh treatment, violation of the right to education, inhumane conditions, deprivation of practicing religious rituals, medical neglect, and more.
