The 8th Edition of the “Martyrs of Bahrain” Exhibition Opens in the Holy City of Karbala
On the evening of Saturday, August 9, 2025, the February 14 Youth Revolution Coalition launched the activities of the Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition in the holy city of Karbala, in its eighth edition, attended by the Representative of the Supreme Leader Imam Khamenei (may Allah protect him) in the holy city of Karbala, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Najjar, representing Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Al-Husseini, along with a number of Arab and Islamic scholars, political figures, and cultural elites.
Sheikh Al-Najjar inaugurated the exhibition, which is held as part of the Arbaeen pilgrimage ceremonies. In his speech, he called for the clearing of Bahrain’s prisons from political detainees. He also condemned the disgraceful practices of the Khalifi regime against the people of Bahrain in their demand for basic rights.
From his side, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Action Society (Amal), Sheikh Abdullah Al-Saleh, affirmed that the Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition is an important pillar for commemorating the martyrs.
In its opening statement, the exhibition’s administration announced that it is launching this year’s edition amid pivotal regional events, particularly within the Axis of Resistance, whose leaders and members have made immense sacrifices in one of the fiercest and most treacherous battles, at a time when steadfast Gaza continues to face a brutal genocide for nearly twenty-two months — leaving thousands of martyrs and widespread destruction. All of this, they stressed, clearly proves that the frontline of the Axis of Resistance is one, just as the frontline of the Axis of Evil is one, regardless of the different arenas.
It is worth noting that the Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition is held annually in Karbala in conjunction with the Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to expose the crimes of the Al Khalifa regime against the people of Bahrain and highlight their plight. It also dedicates sections to the Axis of Resistance, its states, and peoples, in addition to a range of diverse programs and activities attended by a select group of Arab and Islamic scholars, figures, and parties.
The artistic Martyrs of Bahrain Exhibition serves as a platform to reveal the reality of what has been happening on the Bahraini scene since the launch of the February 14 Revolution in 2011. It receives thousands of visitors to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), who express their solidarity with the people of Bahrain and support them in their choice of revolution until self-determination is achieved.
