The Scholar and Leader Qasim: In Bahrain, There Is a Battle Between the Ruling Politics and the Pulpit of Husayn (A.S.)
The scholar and leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qasim said that the years in which the crescent of Muharram barely begins to appear before a fierce battle erupts between the ruling politics and the pulpit of Husayn (peace be upon him), his procession, his mourning gatherings, his banner, and the reciters of the season have grown long.
His Eminence explained in a post on his official account on the “X” platform that two slogans confront and struggle with each other in practice: one slogan is with God Almighty, and the other is with Satan. He pointed out that in the first, the banner of Husayn (A.S.) is raised, while in the second, the banner of Husayn falls. No Muslim hesitates to recognize which slogan is with God and which is with Satan—the slogan that Islam calls for and the slogan that angers it.
Ayatollah Qasim also denounced the summons and arrests during Ashura, saying: “In every Ashura season there are summons, interrogations, and punishments for scholars, preachers, elegy reciters, mourners, heads of matams, and those raising the banner of Husayn (A.S.).”
