The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition issued
the weekly position, which reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition
commends the widespread popular commemoration of the glorious
anniversary of “Martyrs’ Day,” which this year bore the slogan “Our Martyrs,
Our Identity.” This reflects our people’s awareness and deep understanding
of the ongoing existential battle with the Khalifi entity, a battle that targets
the identity of the original citizens and their centuries-long history.
The popular movement on Martyrs’ Day served as a referendum by the
people to define their true national identity and chart a clear political path
toward achieving the right to self-determination and establishing a just and
independent political system. Despite the security grip, our loyal people
insisted on visiting the graves of the martyrs, engaging in revolutionary
protests in the streets, and honoring the commemoration of Bahrain’s
martyrs, as well as the martyrs of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine.
This effectively thwarted the policy of repression relied upon by the Khalifi
regime to subdue and force the people to adopt the fake identity for which
they had spent massive funds, extensive propaganda, and large
mobilization of mercenaries and instigators. All of these efforts dissipated
into thin air, as Allah says: “As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] cast off; but
as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth” [Quran,
13:17]. This is the inevitable fate awaiting all the Khalifi regime’s schemes
and malicious plans—where they will end in failure and turn into regrets.
In light of this, we record the following points in this weekly position:
1- Tyrant Hamad was keen to have the British sponsor of his usurping
regime, represented by “Prince Edward,” join him in celebrating the
falsely named “National Day.” He lavished him with gifts funded by
the people’s money. This scene succinctly encapsulates the true
nature of this tyrant, who enjoys the protection and support of
occupying powers. It also underscores the lack of any connection or
bond between the Khalifi regime and Bahrain’s authentic people. The
Khalifi family has repeatedly proven this across generations since
their occupation of the country, persisting in their efforts to destroy
the identity of the people, fragment their social and cultural structure,
and oppose everything that represents genuine national values and
symbols, as they did with the declaration of “Martyrs’ Day” to glorify
their slain mercenaries, promoting the narrative of the “modern Khalifi
kingdom,” continuing the assault on religious rituals, banning the
largest Friday prayers in the country, and aligning Bahrain with the
Zionist-American project through normalization, the establishment of
foreign military bases, and espionage dens on Bahrain’s territory. All
of this clearly demonstrates that the Al Khalifa are nothing but a mob
that invaded Bahrain through killing, fire, and taking captives. They
believe that their survival depends on antagonizing the original
citizens, erasing their presence and religion, and maintaining a
disgraceful dependency on foreign powers.
2- Despite everything that has transpired, our dear people have
succeeded in defeating the Khalifi project aimed at erasing their
identity and subordinating them to foreigners and their toxic cultures.
We must acknowledge the contribution of generations of our people
in building this unwavering and strong will, standing as an
impenetrable barrier against the system of tyranny and servitude that
the Khalifi tribe has sought to impose as a new situation in the
country, and on the ruins of the luminous history of our free and
independent people—a history of revolutions, protests, and petitions
which stands as a witness to the regime’s failure. This long-standing
legacy of struggle has thwarted the Khalifi occupation’s plans for
oppression and the falsification of history. This effort must continue
with greater momentum, more strategic programs, and sustained
efforts, as the battle remains ongoing today. There should be no
complacency about the vile conspiracies that the Khalifi regime
devises day and night against the people.
3- We believe that the Khalifi regime’s intransigence towards political
reform for more than 250 years is a natural consequence of its nature
as an occupying, settler- colonial and racist entity. It has relied on
killing and displacing the original citizens, leading it to believe that
absolute tyranny and complete corruption would fulfill its old dreams
of erasing the people’s identity and destroying their social and cultural
components, what drives the regime to reject calls for internal reform
and to relinquish to its bloodstained throne, tainted by crimes, aware
that if the people were to take control of the country’s affairs, it would
mark the end of the occupation narrative imposed by the Khalifis for
over two centuries. The solution we hope for our people is that the Al
Khalifa stop tampering with their identity, present, and future, and that
their will, with all its components and factions should be the ruling
force, not the Khalifis, nor their American, British, and Zionist
masters. We believe it would be better for this to happen sooner
rather than later, with minimal bloodshed and tragedy for all involved.
However, if the Al Khalifa choose stubbornness, repression, and
arrogance, they must carefully consider the changes and shifts in
balances and calculations happening around them. In the end, it is
the people who will be the strongest and who will remain forever.
4- We condemn the Khalifi regime’s continued swallowing of the nation’s
resources, concentrating wealth in the hands of the tyrant and his
corrupt sons without accountability or oversight. This is particularly
egregious given the widespread poverty, deprivation, unemployment,
and the growing number of unemployed graduates among citizens.
We point out that the projects announced from time to time, including
those in the oil and refining sectors, do not benefit the nation and its
people equitably. This is due to the royal court’s control over large
allocations of state revenues and the lack of public knowledge about
the nature of these allocations and their expenditure. The situation is
exacerbated by the absence of democracy in the country and the lack
of genuine popular institutions to oversee legislation, oversight, and
accountability. This explains the silence of the institutions appointed
by the authority regarding the rampant corruption, the depletion of
future generations’ resources, to cover the bankruptcy of state
projects, and fund the tyrant’s sons’ amusements and their childish
projects.
