The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition
extended its congratulations to the prisoners recently released from the
Khalifa prisons and their patient, resilient families. It also thanked the
people for the warm and joyous reception of the released prisoners, as a
tribute to their sacrifices and steadfastness during their imprisonment.
In its weekly statement on Monday, September 9, the Political Council
affirmed that the loyal stances expressed by some of the recently released
prisoners regarding the martyrs and the resistance against the Zionist entity
are a living example of the resilience, awareness, and steadfastness that
all prisoners embody. These stances reflect the sentiments and words of
the entire dignified nation and will not be altered or broken by long
imprisonment, retaliatory sentences, or threats of repression and re-arrest.
It viewed the Khalifa regime’s attempt to re-abduct some of the released
prisoners as a desperate effort to demonstrate its brutality and deep-seated
malice. This move serves as further proof of the regime’s corrupt intentions
and ill will, which strengthens the popular and revolutionary stance
opposing its illegitimate presence.
The Political Council of the February 14 Coalition called on the people and
opposition forces to avoid narrow disputes and refrain from creating
negative atmospheres within opposition circles, especially during this
sensitive period. It urged caution against any suspicious attempts to steer
public discussions towards conflicts and accusations that could harm
societal unity. The Council encouraged free thinkers and influencers on
social media to contribute to constructive dialogue, uphold the highest
standards of revolutionary ethics and values, and ensure that the revolution
and the legitimacy of its demands for freedom and justice be at the
forefront of open discussions. It emphasized that sincere criticism should
be directed toward benefiting the people and their just rights.
The Council affirmed that the complete freedom of the prisoners and
captive revolutionary leaders is an inalienable right that cannot be
compromised or negotiated and their release from unjust prisons must be
immediate and unconditional. It expressed full confidence in the
awareness, good judgment, and wise management of the prominent figures
among the prisoners regarding this humanitarian issue, and their clear and
confident understanding that the core issue is the people’s demands and
the achievement of the goals of the noble revolution.
The Political Council of the Coalition urged the people of Bahrain and its
civil, national, and religious forces to make extensive efforts in activating
social solidarity and support for the prisoners and their sacrificing families.
It called for creating a suitable, dignified, and comprehensive environment
to welcome them and meet their family, living, health, and educational
needs. The Council emphasized that the Khalifi regime is unreliable and
cannot be trusted to fulfill its duties toward the released prisoners. It
warned that the regime would not hesitate to continue its campaign against
them and their honorable social environments using various means of
repression, psychological, and material harassment.
Coinciding with the ominous anniversary of the signing of normalization and
betrayal agreements between the Khalifa regime and the Zionist entity
(September 15, 2020), it affirmed the stance of the people rejecting
normalization with the Zionist enemy in its entirety, stressing that these
agreements are a grave crime that tarnishes the Khalifa regime, and that
the people of Bahrain are innocent of them and will continue to resist them
until the end.
On this occasion, it called for escalating popular and national efforts to
eradicate any Zionist presence in Bahrain and to close the Zionist
espionage embassy in the capital, Manama, especially with the approach
of the glorious anniversary of October 7, urging all national and popular
forces to prepare broad and open programs of support and solidarity with
the resistance in Gaza and occupied Palestine, and to stand with the
peoples of the resistance axis against the ongoing Zionist war and
genocide and not to fear the Khalifa regime’s intimidation and threats of
imprisonment and prosecution against those who support the victorious
resistance and its axis.
