The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition issued the weekly position, which reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition affirms the right of our people in Bahrain to protest and
demonstrate. It emphasizes that the continued popular protests in
the country is a continuation of the people’s decision to wrest their
rights in full, and undiminished, and to resist policies of
submission and subjugation.
Given the new equation that our free people are facing today,
there are significant responsibilities that fall on both the actors
and influencers inside and outside the country, in addition to the
natural responsibility borne by honorable opposition forces.
Foremost among these is the need to provide all necessary
support and assistance to the ongoing movement in the country,
strengthen its elements and key drivers, and enhance the human
and political demands that underpin this movement. This should
be done with a sense of shared goals and common destiny, and
through wise and deliberate engagement in the arenas and fields
of the people.
In the context of these issues, we present the following headlines
in this weekly position:
1- The recent popular movement raises fundamental headlines
related to the file of political prisoners. This file remains one
of the main obstacles facing the Khalifi regime and its malign
objectives. Recent uprisings and protest movements inside
prisons have provided a clear and definitive answer to the
broad Khalifi scheme aimed at hijacking and gradually
dissolving the political prisoners’ file, according to the
regime’s security conditions. The prisons revolution has
achieved a practical victory for the concept of complete and
unconditional freedom, providing a counter-response to the
freedom-restricting projects that the regime and its allies use
as bargaining tools. This revolution has maintained the
strength, momentum, and continuity of the February 14
Revolution and has kept the revolutionary fervor alive in the
streets and squares. Furthermore, the significant support
provided by the hostage revolution’s leaders – through their
legendary patience – represents the shining pearl in the
crown of the Dignity Movement led by the free prisoners with
full awareness, will, and insight.
2- The new popular movement focuses on a triad that is fixed
and interconnected: – Connection and correlation with the movement of free
prisoners and their just demands: The movement of
citizens and families revolves around the prisons
revolution and its demands. – Awareness of the nature of the Khalifi regime: After long
experience with its devious methods, there is a popular
determination to combine the strength and stability of the
movement with preventing the regime from seizing the
opportunity to implement broad repression or corrupt the
movement with side issues or marginal files. – Belief in the justness of liberation from the corrupt,
autocratic regime which no longer has any legitimacy and
is the root cause of all the crises and disasters engulfing
the country.
3- The recent resurgence of arrests and summonses by
security agencies is an attempt to intimidate the movement
and the families involved. This policy reflects the Khalifi
regime’s depravity and moral collapse, and it reveals the
ineffectiveness of visits by certain international human rights
organizations, as well as the complicity and subservience of
some of these organizations and institutions to official
conditions. The arrest and summons campaigns expose the
false claims of the tyrant Hamad and his terrorist regime
during previous releases, and once again demonstrate that
those releases occurred under pressure imposed on the
regime and its inability to manage the burden of protests
within prisons. This indicates that the Khalifi regime will face
the consequences of its actions once more, increasing its
involvement and abysmal failure, and that the people will be
on the brink of a new phase of inevitable victory, with Allah’s
will.
4- The Khalifi regime relies on the intensification of the regional
situation and the expansion of aggression by the Zionist
entity and its malevolent allies, especially following the
recent hollow threats against the courageous resistance in
Lebanon. However, betting on the savagery of the Zionists
and Americans will yield no benefit or results, but rather will
backfire with grave and humiliating consequences for the Al
Khalifa. The people of Bahrain will not compromise on their
local right to freedom and liberation, nor will they concede
their support for the Palestinian people, Gaza’s resistance,
and the entire honorable axis confronting the Zionist-
American project. Instead, the expansion of aggression in
our region and against our people will only strengthen our
resolve and spirit in the internal struggle, leading to an
increase in popular and revolutionary protests that unite
Palestine and Bahrain, and highlighting the need to reject
and overthrow all agent regimes and the Zionist entity
without distinguishing between them. 5- Building on the previous point, our beloved people in Bahrain
remain steadfast in their commitment to confronting the
normalization and treachery project. They recognize that the
presence of the Khalifi regime at the heart of this
treacherous project imposes additional responsibilities on
them to lead popular protests against normalization, foreign
bases, espionage dens, and Zionist relations. This matter is
a priority for all national forces in Bahrain, where everyone
insists on keeping the Palestinian cause and the choice of
resistance present in ongoing weekly activities, and the
determined effort among the forces is to deepen the divide
between the people and the Khalifi regime affirming that they
are fundamentally opposed in both national and regional
choices. We believe that this popular stance will protect our
people and their democratic national movement from any
effects of the aggressive escalation threatened by the
Zionists and the potential use of their agents to entrench
their tyranny and criminality. Therefore, we are confident that
the brave resistance that will defeat Zionist aggression will
also pave the way for our peoples’ freedom and liberation
from agent and oppressive regimes.
