In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful,
In July of the year 1782, Bahrain was subjected to an aggressive attack by
the Utub tribe led by the Al Khalifa, marking the beginning of a dark era in
the history of the country that continues to this day.
This attack was a phase of the Khalifa military invasion aimed at controlling
Bahrain and its indigenous people. It followed a brutal campaign that
resulted in crimes against the locals who resisted the occupation. Notably,
at the perimeter of the “Ain Abu Zaidan” zone in ‘’Bilad al-Qadeem’’, the
Khalifis killed over 700 local resistors. Additionally, there were field
executions during the invasion of villages in Sitra, Tubli, Manama, and
other areas.
The invading Khalifas implemented systematic policies for physical and
psychological extermination using various methods. They committed direct
killings, stole land, imposed forced labor on the locals, displaced citizens
from their towns and villages, and replaced them with mercenaries. They
caused destruction and devastation in some villages, erasing traces of the
local culture and its long history. We recall this dark history to affirm that the Al Khalifa remain merely an
invasion, occupying and criminal force, and to this day, they treat Bahrain
and its people as spoils of war and their private property, emulating the
actions of their early occupier ancestors who relied on killing, persecution,
and fighting the culture of the indigenous people. In contrast, for decades,
the citizens have confronted this invading tribe and fought for the
establishment of a just state that would protect them from its tyranny and
crimes. Our people—across all sectors and affiliations—have provided a
proud record of sacrifices and heroism in the struggle for liberation from
servitude, foreign dominance, and the racist and sectarian tribal regime.
Today, as we approach the anniversary of independence from British
colonialism in mid-August, we affirm that our people’s struggle for freedom
and liberation will not retreat or falter, no matter how long it takes. There is
no place on this land for invading occupiers or murderous criminals, and
that the banner of resistance raised by our ancestors and forefathers
against the Khalifi and British occupations will remain high until victory is
achieved by the generation of the victorious February 14 Revolution, God
willing.
