The Political Council of the February 14 Revolution Youth
Coalition stated that the 33rd Arab Summit is scheduled to be held,
for the first time, in the capital Manama on the 16th of May,
marking another opportunity to enhance the ongoing popular and
revolutionary movement in the country, and to affirm the moral
and political gains that emerged following the movement of
political prisoners and their families, and the release of free
prisoners on Eid al-Fitr.
In its weekly position, on Monday, April 22, it called on opposition
political forces to renew their media and political movements
during the Summit, emphasizing the revolution’s goal of
establishing a fair constitutional system, the commitment of the
Bahraini people to the central cause of Palestine, including
supporting resistance in Palestine and Gaza, refusing to
surrender and normalization with the Zionist enemy, as it is a
usurped and aggressive entity that must be overthrown through
legitimate resistance.
It urged all national and political forces and actors in the region to
hold popular congresses parallel to the official Arab summit, as a
platform to express the positions of the free peoples of the region
on issues of freedom and justice and to counter the Zionist-
American project.
The Political Council expressed profound disappointment with the
Arab League’s failure to defend the people of Palestine and Gaza,or to stand up for the oppressed peoples in the region. This
reflected the submission of official Arab regimes to Zionist-
American demands and conditions, where Arab rulers stood idly
by in the face of the most atrocious genocide inflicted upon the
people of Gaza, ignoring Arab and Islamic principles and
disregarding the boiling anger of the peoples demanding the
cancellation of normalization agreements and the expulsion of
Zionist ambassadors, and supporting resistance against Zionist
aggression on Gaza and resistance countries and their axis. The
Council expressed scepticism about the convening of the summit
in Manama, fearing that it might serve as a cover for further
normalization and capitulation, under the threat of suppressing
popular protests and silencing them through intimidation at times,
and through blatant lies at other times.
The Council viewed the recent visit by Hamad Al-Khalifa to
Jordan and Egypt came within the context of Iran’s
implementation on April 14th of the blessed ‘’al-Waeed al-sadiq’’
operation, which struck the criminal Zionist entity, establishing a
new deterrent balance after the Zionist aggression on the Iranian
consulate in Damascus and the martyrdom of elite Revolutionary
Guard commanders. This was to show solidarity with the colluding
Jordanian regime against Iran’s staggering response and to
reaffirm allegiance to the evil Zionist alliance, refusing to hesitate
in engaging more extensively in this aggressive coalition.
The Political Council stressed the importance of directing the
focus towards American and British bases and Zionist spy nests
in Bahrain, viewing all these formations and alliances emanating
therefrom as blatant aggression against popular will and
symbolize complete official betrayal, and any free national
movement cannot be achieved without condemning and
renouncing from all of this, looking forward to a high level of
popular and national movement in Bahrain to express solidarity
with Gaza and occupied Palestine, coinciding with the Arab
Summit in Manama.
The Council commended the ongoing popular and revolutionary
movement in Bahrain for the release of political prisoners and
captive leaders, affirming the people’s commitment to the
fundamental goals of the revolution, regardless of increased
pressure or maneuvers. It underscored its capability to overthrow
the corrupt and tyrannical regime, paving the way for the people’s
liberation – in all segments and components – from the rule of the
treacherous tribe, and saving the nation from drowning in
successive crises.
