A statement has been issued by the February 14 Revolution
Youth Coalition on the thirteenth anniversary of the Saudi-Emirati
occupation of Bahrain, which reads as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
{Permission ‘’to fight back’’ is ‘’hereby’’ granted to those being fought, for they
have been wronged. And Allah is truly Most Capable of helping them ‘’prevail’’}
On the fourteenth of March, it marks the thirteen anniversary of
the invasion of the Saudi-Emirati occupation forces of our beloved
land, concealed under the guise of ‘’Peninsula Shield’’ and with
the green light from the American-British governments, and with a
complete relinquishment of national sovereignty by the Al Khalifa
regime. This humiliating surrender adds a significant stain to the
already shameful history of the ruling Al Khalifa family’s
oppression in Bahrain. This disgraceful concession occurred
when the pillars of the Al Khalifa rule trembled due to the glorious
February 14 Revolution and the loud voice of the people
demanding their right to self-determination.
And this ominous anniversary coincides with the ‘’National Day for
Expelling the American Base from Bahrain’’, which falls tomorrow
on the first Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan. This day has
been adopted by the people of Bahrain as a national day and a
strategic project to work towards achieving their goals. Thisinfamous base has long overshadowed the crimes of the Al
Khalifa regime, and in fact, has been complicit in most of them.
Moreover, it is one of the pillars upon which the American
administration relies on to bolster its military presence in the Gulf
and the Middle East, aiming to achieve its strategic and economic
ambitions, support the Zionist entity, and strike countries of the
resistance axis.
The reality of the sovereignty crisis facing the country clearly
reveals that the Al Khalifa regime is still subjected to external
dictates, bets and interventions that harm the sovereignty and
independence of the nation on a wide and destructive scale. It
exposes it to imminent danger from significant and powerful
forces in the international and regional area. Furthermore, this
subservience and selling of sovereignty isolate Bahrain from its
Arab and Islamic allies.
The ruling family in Bahrain has proven over the years, through
their obedience and surrender to the forces of arrogance that
national sovereignty is not at all its concern as much as
preserving its throne and interests, even if it means selling out the
homeland and its citizens, or selling out religion, Arab identity,
and values and it confirmed that beyond any doubt by normalizing
relations with the Zionist enemy and opening all possibilities for it
to launch its malicious destructive projects in the region, striking
at the national consensus rejection of this criminal normalization.
We, in the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition, stand in
reverence and respect for all those who sacrificed and resisted
the Saudi and Emirati invasion over the past decade, and we
mourn the martyrs of that day’s massacre and all our noble
martyrs. We affirm that resisting invasion and occupation by anyavailable means is legitimate in all norms and religions.
Therefore, based on the principles of defending the land, the
nation, and the sanctities, we say that the Bahraini people have
the full right to resist the Saudi-Emirati occupation until its defeat,
and due to their sovereignty, they have the full authority to expel
the American base from Bahrain.
Furthermore, in the context of the anniversary of the ominous
occupation coinciding with the National Day for Expelling the
American Base, we call for further action and effective steps in
resisting any occupation of our land and insisting on liberating it
from any foreign military presence, no matter how it may disguise
itself under different pretexts. We can’t ignore what is happening
to our brothers and sisters in Palestine and the brutal genocide in
Gaza with Saudi-Emirati consent and American support. This
makes resisting these two occupiers a national duty for each and
every one of us, regardless of our position.
In conclusion, a salute of pride and honor to our brave people for
their great resilience and enormous sacrifices, and for their
determination not to compromise their right to freedom, the
liberation of their land, and their adherence to the central cause of
the nation, ‘’Palestine’’.
O Allah, have mercy on our noble martyrs and grant us and them
steadfastness and a firm stance in Your sight, O Generous one.
