The women’s committee of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition confirmed that the suffering of political detainees has never been independent of the suffering of their families, who, in addition to their separation and affliction, suffer the loss of support and helper in most cases.
In this context, in a statement on Thursday, September 21, 2023, it addressed the issue of the wife of the prisoner of conscience, ‘’Youssef Habib’’, who suffers from cancer, who is undergoing treatment and suffers from its complications, and has demanded more than once the release of her husband to have support and help in her disease, in addition to having to follow up on his situation inside prison.
The Feminism of the Coalition saw that this issue is a humanitarian issue par excellence, as this patient wife suffers from cancer and the tired complications of its treatment, in addition to being responsible for her children in the absence of her husband in the prisons of the Khalifa regime, that has any ounce of humanity, even though its agreeing of human rights and women in particular, as it put.
It called on human rights organizations in general and concerned with women’s right in particular to shed urgent light on the issue of this struggling wife, pay attention to her, and pressure the Khalifa regime to release her husband to be her support in her ordeal, expressing full solidarity with her, and asking God Almighty to give her wellness and health and relieve her of her severity.
