The political council of the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition praised the wise course confirmed by the captive movement in Bahrain, and its readiness to resume fighting the battle of the empty intestines at the end of this month in case of the treachery of the Khalifa parties and their reneging on their promises to respond to the demands of political prisoners.
In its weekly position on Monday, 18, 2023, it believed that the actions of the Khalifi entity in recent days confirmed earlier warning of evading political prisoners’ oppression, as it still acted within the framework of evading the legitimate and humanitarian demands of the captive movement, which was evident with the prevention of the human rights activist ‘’Mariam al-Khawaja’’ and the international team in solidarity with her from travelling to Bahrain, cancelling the visit of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to its prisons and tightening restrictions on prisoners and preventing them from attending the funeral of their loved ones.
The Political Council believes that the British government is a full partner in the violations and crimes suffered by the people of Bahrain and political prisoners, and its role comes as a continuation of the colonial system in obstructing the people’s struggle towards obtaining their full rights, and it stands behind the policies of tyranny and corruption that taking place today, but it is the direct management of repression and prosecution of activists, and providing the Khalifa security services with expertise, advisers and training programs to help engineer torture and finish off the popular and revolutionary movement, calling for raising the voice of rejection to the British colonizers, considering them as direct enemies of the people and their national struggle.
It renewed the position regarding the agreement concluded by the Khalifa entity with the US administration last week, considering it a treasonous agreement reached in the context of pushing for the signing of normalization agreements with the Zionist enemy, and urged the national forces and loyal segments of the people to register strong positions rejecting the security agreement with the Americans, who used to fuel conflicts and wars in the region, and to form a broad national alignment against the expansion of the American occupation in Bahrain, to prevent the success of American plans in achieving their hostile goals towards the peoples of the region and their desires to be free from foreign interference.
It pointed out that International Democracy Day (September 15th) revealed the deteriorating reality that Bahrain has suffered as a result of the Khalifi entity, which has not hesitated to talk about fraudulent reforms and fake democracy, and continues to promote the lie of reform despite all the destruction and ruin that the country has not experienced in decades, there is no real constitution to express the will of the people, there is no fair electoral system to generate true representation, and there is no parliament with full powers that can legislate and hold accountable, monitoring and preserve the wealth and sovereignty of the country, lack of free newspapers and independent opposition work, in addition to the mafias of corruption, discrimination, privileges and thefts, and the country’s ability and wealth being controlled by the tyrant (Hamad) and his sons, at a time when indigenous citizens suffer from deprivation of a decent living and adequate housing, and face daily the risks of community insecurity due to the prevalence of naturalized gangs and their violation of their sanctities, traditions and customs.
The Political Council expressed its support for the call of the National Initiative against normalization to boycott the jewellery and gold exhibition to be held between 14-18 November, rejecting the possible participation of the Zionist enemy in it, and also supporting what was included in its statement, which renewed the consensus of the people of Bahrain to oppose normalization, boycott everyone who deals with the Zionist entity in any way, and the people’s continued defence of Palestine and support its honourable resistance, stressing the success of civil steps and popular movements rejecting normalization agreements.
